You know that the sense out of our 5 senses that gets more acute over time is taste.
Its why kids love the most surgery crappiest candy ever because they don't taste the level of complexity that we can.
I remember the first time I tried beer and being completely disgusted. I think it was original Michelob…the worst thing I had ever tasted up onto that point. I think I was 12 |
Re: Food Vices
In honor of Punch, I went with a Margherita Pizza for lunch/dinner.
Never has this before. It has cheese, so I'm not sure it qualifies as vegan, but it's at least vegetarian. |

I tried to order from Grimaldi's, but UberEats canceled my order (without notice). So I guess no pizza lol. Edit - Deciding not to be lazy and am going to go pick-up Tony's Detroit Style Pizza. Never had it, haven't even had this type pizza more than a couple times. |
Re: Food Vices
Does anyone have an air fryer?
I want to buy one of those Emeril Lagasse air fryers I see all the time on TV. But also don't want to be duped by an infomercial. |

Re: Food Vices
Just figured out I've been cooking bacon the wrong way my whole life. I recently discovered boiling it is the way to go. Just a thin layer of water in the pan, bring it to a boil and let the water simmer off. The fat renders off in the water so it's no mess and the bacon comes out perfect.

Never heard of that way. Interesting. I cook mine in the oven, but I use a grate, so it's raised above the pan and the fat just drips off below to be tossed. |

Do you have to flip it? |

once the water boils off you want to flip it to crisp it up on both sides |
Re: Food Vices
i have done the boiling it does come out good, but if you got an army of sleepover kids the best bet is the oven. One batch crispy and done.

This is the way..especially with the thick cut which is my go too. Let me also tell you the best bacon on the market: |
