Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Cousins isn't getting traded. They would have to tag him first, and he would have to agree to sign the tag. Not happening.
Article lays out the possibility of the transition tag. https://www.google.com/amp/s/247sports.com/nfl/denver-broncos/Bolt/Report-Redskins-may-place-transition-tag-on-trade-Kirk-Cousins-114412027/Amp |

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Been reading there was a bidding war in the trade for Smith. Makes me wonder what the Chiefs said 'no' to before they accepted the Skins offer of draft pick and a slot DB.

some were saying KC wanted a 2nd |
Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
That is exactly correct.
Most average to above average QB's will do well with all the weapons Chiefs have. I am not sold and have never been sold on Smith. Which is why two teams have gotten rid of him. We have tp have a solid team around Smith to win. We do not have that just yet. Depending on what we have up to get Smith, this move is still a big unknown.
what are all the weapons? they have a great slot wr (hill), a great te and a great rb (pass catching and running) . . . we have a damn good slot wr ourselves (crowder), a great te when healthy (caveat on when healthy) and thompson as our pass catching rb . . . just need a rb for running purposes, but we are not far off offensive talent wise from kansas city . . . and i still think docston will be a damn good wr too . . . KC was afraid to throw to him even when he was WIDE open |

Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
Reed isn't Kelce only because hes made of glass, BUT we do have VDAVIS and I think they'll add another TE this OS. We need a RB bad, Perine is a good backup and CT is a scat back, we dont have a guy that scares anyone.

It totally makes no sense to me either. However, Steve Gallo is saying that something might be in the works. This is the same guy who broke the news of Kendall Fuller being the PTBNL in the trade. I find it hard to believe it will happen, but man this would sweeten this deal so much. Re: Redskins trade for Alex Smith
EDIT: Looking over the twitter, I'm not sure that actually is Alex Smith's.
Sorry for the fake news LOL I know people said for the longest time that KC's Twitter feed didnt mean anything (looking at S10 here) but look at Alex Smith's: https://twitter.com/QBAlex_Smith He's photoshopped himself (although kinda looks like KC) and his main image is the Skins offense on the sideline. KC's has said "Business Inquiries: Luke Munson luke@lwsports.net" There is a huge difference. |
