Hog, did you vote today?[/quote]

I did indeed...late from work, but in time. By the time I got there, I was like third in line.
Where the hell does Rubio go from here? Damn, don't carry your own state? Rough...

Rational conservative thought in America is dead.

... and, as a whole, we are worse off because of it.

Rubio was going nowhere for a while. Losing your own state says it all.

Bernie - Everyone can have everything. Except the rich. We all hate rich people.

Clinton - I will make sure the government makes the right choices on how to run your life. Only stupid people would not want that. We all hate stupid people.

Trump - 'Murica! If they aren't one of us, we should hate them.

None of these messages appeal to me.

Thankfully I don't see any of these options lasting more than one term, but the scary thing is how much more fucked up the country will be after said four years.

The country needs change politically, but not as extreme as Bernie and Trump. Personally, I'd be SO down with a status quo option for one more term. THEN, the country can maybe identify a few candidates who are just different enough they aren't divisive.

Nice summary. I was heavy on the Bernie bandwagon for a little bit but I've backed off it recently. I still feel he's the best of the 3 but I'm not as enthusiastic about him as I was. Even if he does win though does anybody really think Congress will let him push through his plans? I feel this election takes away focus on the fact that the Prez and Congress basically cancel each other out on everything, how many major programs have passed with the approval of both Congress and the Prez in the last 8 years? Also I honestly can't believe in this day and age that Drumpf is the best that the repubs have to represent this country. He's the loudest voice in the room, yet he says nothing of substance.

I know I've said this before, but PRIOR to this election, I've woken up, put my pants one leg at a time (rung a cowbell or two) and life went on. From Reagan to Clinton to Bush to Obama, my life was essentially the same. I'll take that right now.

I worry that if Trump gets elected (and to a lesser extent Bernie) that suddenly I'll wake up to a LOT of changes that I don't want.

I worry more about the continued degradation of rights that changes imperceptibly under the guise of politically correct speech where the status quo continues to usurp what the constitution says then what a firebrand like Trump would actually be able to accomplish.

I expect that IF he were to get the nomination ( not a sure thing ) that Clinton and him will duke it out in an old style backroom political brawl. Maybe they could have an actual duel ala Hamilton and Burr.

No one should be actually scared of Trump. You cannot literally believe a single thing he says. He is the definition of style rather than substance.

I understand being concerned about the substance of his message but I am not concerned at all because I don't believe he actually believes anything he is saying. Which is a whole other thing to worry about all together.
