Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
It would be like the show According to Jim when his wife's best friend came to his house and he found out she was a Packer fan.
A Packer fan...in MY house?!! LOL classic |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Glad we pulled it off today, i picked us to win in my work pool. yes i was the only one :)
Marshall is a beast. i am at work and i missed the game, what happened to Orton?? |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
I also noticed that we didn't have a lot of penalties today either. Correct me if I'm wrong, but no holding calls on the offensive line.
Anyway, anyone else notice how Aikman was jocking the Cowboys and Romo at the beginning of the game and now they're playing like crap? I know it's just one win, but they are going to face a very dangerous and hungry Redskins team next week. You could tell they had a little swagger during the post game interviews. |

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Besides giving more playing time to Ganther, we need to wildcat Hunter Smith.

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Skins will get back on track, this was a huge win for a team in doubt.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Was it me or did the skind actuall come out and show that a fake FG was coming and call a time out only to come back and still go fro the fake FG with 4th and 20? That has to be some kind of NFL record at that point in a game.

That's exactly what happened. But Hunter Smith's take on it during the post game was the Skins never considered it a trick play. They lined up and felt it was just a play they could execute. Trick play was never a part of the equation. At least that's that they he put it. By the way, he's one funny dude. |

lol. so close |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
I couldn't believe the fucking balls that it took to stick to that play.
It worked, I think, because we had every reason to think it was a punt.
The Bears ran a very similar fake field goal in Washington in 2001. I imagine that the play was designed somewhat similar to that. We also needed to be on the perfect part of the field to run it, 5 yards in either direction and that play isn't effective. |

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Hey just got home from the game. that was an awesome performance by our Skins. I thought that Levi Jones was the hero of the day. From what i saw he single handedly solidified the defense. Am I wrong or right about that.

Considering he was playing against the NFL leader in sacks, I think you're spot on. He did one helluva job today and hopefully he'll only get better. |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Was Rogers benched. Or did he get hurt.

Pretty good for an OT to solidify our defense. ;-) but yeah that line looked much improved with him in it. |

LOL. He got benched, next stop out of DC. It's being discussed somewhere around here. |
Man, BMitch keeps bringing up the whole practice thing...he needs to let it go...not that I'm defending Portis, but shit, let us enjoy this win.
Right, he's got a point but crabbing after a W is just retarded, let it go man just for a few minutes |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
I love how Bmitch talks shit like he's Riggins, like he has something to brag about STFU I mean damn even John knows when to shut the hell up.
There's a fine line on how much crap someone can talk and when you aren't in the hall of fame or coming anywhere close to Riggo drills record you really should keep a lid on your mouth traitor ass abysmal after Washington Career Am I the only skins fan that didn't forget this asshole donned a blue and white jersey at some point in his career!?!? We freaking get it man Portis should be practicing, and Betts practiced ooooo Betts practiced like crazy if Portis wasn't |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Well I gotta say the skins did pretty well today, Levi Jones looked good, maybe we should bring him back next year. I love Hunter Smith, I thought he was the best acquistion this team got. I thought we'd lose this game badly actually, when Brandon Marshall scored 2 straight deep TD's. Orakpo looks better and better each game. Campbell really over threw Moss, but other than that he did pretty good. Betts and Cartwright did well. Haynesworth gets injured a lot but yet for all the millions he's making I give him credit for continuing to play and not sitting out. Fletcher was pretty quiet this game. Vikings and Saints are now CLEARLY the best teams in the NFC, and the Colts tonight did get lucky for Belichek going for it on that stupid 4th down call, even though I'm glad he lost cause I hate him and brady, the colts are for real as well, and that had to be one of the best football games I've ever seen, definitley top 5.

Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Did the Skins play today? I didn't recognize the team on the field. -4 offensive starters and we handled the Broncos. JC completed passes to 10 different recievers...I didn't know that the Skins had 10 people that could catch the ball.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Our Offense actually looked.........like a real NFL Offense yesterday. Kelly and Thomas got involved,Betts ran hard,JC made good decisions and the Oline actually resembled a functionable unit.
So THATS what running lanes and pass protection looks like, i always thought it was a myth like Bigfoot or the female "Ogasm" :) lol |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
Man, I wish I could have seen this game...they broadcasted the LIONS and VIKINGS in my area! ARGH!
NFL Replay...please... :D |

As soon as I saw him a step or two behind shotgun I knew he was throwing it. |

Man this is hilarious, from ESPN's John Clayton:
The Broncos' three-game losing streak apparently has coach Josh McDaniels a little out of sorts. He opened his postgame news conference by congratulating "the Chargers and Jim Zorn."
|

Did he mean the maroon and black Chargers? lol |
Re: Redskins vs. Broncos Gameday Thread
It makes sense...the Chargers caught Denver early this year....they won't have to scramble in the last 3 weeks to overtake them...by season's end, the Chargers will be far ahead of the Broncos.
