I really don't think it's ridiculous at all.

What's ridiculous is the circus sideshow that AH was all off-season. Again, after all that you would just hand him his job back on day 1? Of course he's going to earn it back, but the point is you just don't hand the guy anything after the shit he pulled all off-season.
And it was Vinnies folly to allow the money deal to go down with Big. I doubt Shanny will allow that to get in the way of fielding the most capable team?

Barring injury, how could Haynesworth not be a part of the most capable team?

ddockett

Our test was 3x 300yds, I ran them in 57secs w/ 2min break between each one,!! I could have eating popcorn while running them!! #INSHAPE about 1 hour ago via ÜberTwitter Retweeted by JasonLaCanfora and 10 others

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

Making Haynesworth run this test until he passes, playing with the second team etc. is not just about fairness -- Shanahan runs the Redskins, and by extension, Haynesworth not the other way around.

I think what he is doing is perfect, he's explained that there is a reason this conditioning test is being administered and until he passes, he can't practice. Not only that, the fact that this test is extremely routine has been corroborated across the league. Plus, after the entire off-season of me-first whining that Haynesworth has done, a lot of teams will never take a chance on him again. After this conditioning test, were Haynesworth to skip training camp or demand a trade, he would come off as an even bigger loser.

Keep it up Shanny.

Apparently haynesworth is sitting out today because he injured his knee doing the conditioning test yesterday. So evidently he wasn't in football shape after all.

Just out of curiosity is it possible to fake swelling in the knee?

i saw on the ESPN crawl he was just resting his legs for a day. Is this bad info or is there another problem with an injury?

Certainly he could. BUt with BIG, he proving more all the time it's about what he WILL do and not what he can do. I don't think anyone has questioned his ability.......just motivation, and heart. Laying out and taking plays off (many of them) is not going to get it done. Certainly not with Shannahan.

He rested his legs because they weren't feeling 100% is pretty much all there is to it

Re: Haynesworth fails conditioning test

Redskins Insider is all over the board in regards to the AH situation. I just spent alot of time reading all the articles they have poster over the last 24 hours. Alot of good info for someone who is 600 miles away from Redskins Park.

Based on what I read it seems as though this test is not unreasonable and that he has run this in the past with the Titans although thier test had them run 50 yards instead of 25.

I am also assuming AH wasnt in as good of shape as he stated through the course of the off season. Correct me if I am wrong in this assumption.

I do like the way that Coach is handling the situation to and that AH may build some sympathy with the other guys on the roster once he finally passes the test and resumes practicing with his teammates. So that may help to eliminate some of the bad blood. OR this may in no way build sympathy for a guy who claimed he had worked out all off season but can't pass a pretty standard conditiong test may leave his teammates feeling they cannot rely on the guy next to them. We will all see how this story ends but I am hoping this big ass distraction goes away soon so the media can focus on the good things going on at Redskins Park.

The official diagnosis is a sprained ego.

A sprained ego! That's not serious is it?

Depends on the size of the ego. Some people are actually capable of playing with no ego. Other players are dependent on the status of their ego.

T.o. Is carrying ochocincos pads in cincy. It looks like his ego has shrunk to normal size. Maybe we should have pursued him after all...

I guess it depends whether it's a high sprain or not. I wonder if they'll do an MRI.
