Wait, I thought the owner that's not happy is John Mara. I mean he's gotta be really unhappy with his team not making the playoffs...
First this has nothing to do with the thread, second I 'm not happy either so I don't expect him to be but he does have 2 super bowl trophys in 5 years to remind him that he's not far off.

Mara comes off as a whiny spoiled cry baby. Yeah he's got his trophies but that doesn't mean we have to like him.
And he is not a franchise quarterback or potential franchise quarterback.
Then why didnt Norv Turner take heat for letting Phillip Rivers play an entire game on a torn ACL?

Why didnt Jason Garrett or Andy Ried take heat for letting Romo and Vick play with broken ribs/punctured lungs?

Why didnt Mike Holmgren take heat for letting Brett Favre play with the litany of injuries he had over the years?

Am I crazy or was RG wearing a smaller brace in the playoff game? It seemed a lot less bulky; makes me wonder whether or not he would have hurt it had he been wearing a proper brace.

It was the same one he had worn all along.

RGIII said he tried wearing another, smaller brace in practice, without getting approval from the team staff and as soon as they noticed it, they made him go back to the bigger brace.

That may have been what I was thinking.

.....maybe not from the league but you know Dan Snyder isn't happy.

So don't give me any guff about my Mara response...

The media was having a huge Cowpuke-loving Romo orgy when he played with broken ribs. Also, don't forget Witten playing with a lacerated spleen.

I think this speaks to the warrior mentality players have. When we ask why RG3 didn't take himself out, consider this

The Cowboys won. If we won alot of people would have focused on a heroic RG-3 instead of a questionable decision by the coach also.
I dont remember who the backup was for Romo either, but our backup was recently inserted into two big games in very recent history and played exceptionally well leading us to two much needed victories. I think that also makes it easy to point the finger at Shanny imo.

Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months

Bottom line is he's ripped up his knee two times in four years and he's only 22. I'm going to take a guess that the 2nd time around isn't going to be as quick a rehab. I don't expect to see RG3 until mid 2013. Then there's a whole entire issue if Cousins plays well and/if the team is in contention or winning the division. What happens then?
