Malcolm, how did you find out? Are they wearing Red tops and Pewter pants?
Malcom is smart! Probably looked at their Homepage, and looked at their Unis for home games this past year!

I don't care if they come in wearing Pink, and us in White/Gold/Burgandy, or Retros!

We are out after revenge for that bad call earlier this year!

It's not the clothing, but the man in the clothes, and the heart in the man!

I saw it on another site and it was apparently quoted from a reputable news source.

I know Malcolm is smart, but you just can't look at their homepage, because they wore White tops and Pewter pants the last time they played us. I am glad we get to keep the ALL WHITE thing going though! Brunell has been looking for White tops now for a month! He won't get confused tomorrow!

Malc, do you know the site or news source.

I have Bucs fan in the office wearing his jersey today.

He also told me that everytime we lost the coin toss this year, we're six and 0.

I want to basically one up him with the uniform fact.

The word right now is the Bucs are wearing their red jerseys so we'll be in all whites again.

Here's an interesting article I found regarding our uniform switch

ALL-WHITE UNIFORMS IN TAMPA

The Redskins are expected to wear their all-white uniforms for the sixth consecutive game this Saturday versus Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers have informed the league that they will wear their red jerseys for the Wild Card game. Since home teams determine the team jersey colors for games, this means the Redskins can wear white jerseys and white pants.

The Redskins are 5-0 since they started wearing white-on-white uniforms in the Week 13 game at St. Louis.

Joe Gibbs has said players decide which jersey color the team wears for games."

Nice find bro.

"Redskins officials say the team will wear white again—assuming the Bucs don’t try a bit of psychological warfare and make a last-minute switch to white-on-white. But that would force the Redskins back into red. For them, it could be a win-win situation."

he basically stated that they might wear white on white.

Once a team declares what color jersey they are wearing there is no going back. There was one incident though last season when the Chargers were hosting the Broncos early in the season and the Chargers elected to wear their whites at home. The Broncos informed them that they thought the Chargers were wearing their darks at home and only packed their white uni's. Which was later determined by the league to be bullshit and fined the Broncos $25,000 for it. It came down to the Chargers wanting the Broncos in their dark uni's in the hot Cali sun. As for the burgundy on burgundy they never ever wore it!! -Summo

Dead on. Uniforms don't make plays. The players have to play!!! They could show up as Coach Hanky Spanky. Make the play!!!

Nice insight, makes sense that they can't go back on their word. I assume the road team needs to know which uni's to bring with them.

Guys, I always thought the Home Team for the Super Bowl was the team with the best record. In the case of a tie record, they move to some sort of tie breaker. In the past several years, however, I don't think the two Superbowl teams have had the same records, so the home team is the best team going in.

Isn't that how it works?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl

The designated "home team" alternates between the NFC team in odd-numbered years (the Philadelphia Eagles in 2005), and the AFC team in even-numbered years (the New England Patriots in 2004). The home team is given the choice of either wearing their colored jerseys or their white ones; this started with Super Bowl XIII. Prior to that, the home team always wore the dark jerseys. The Dallas Cowboys wore their rarely-used blue uniform tops in Super Bowl V, and lost to the then-Baltimore Colts, which has led to the widely-held belief that the Cowboys do not play well in their blue shirts. While most home teams in the Super Bowl choose to wear their colored jerseys, only the Cowboys in XIII and XXVII and the Washington Redskins in XVII have worn white as the home team.

Yea, I contacted the NFL a few years back and they told me that the teams before the season starts they have to fill out a form stating what unis they will be wearing at each home game.

Re: All burgundy Uniforms Sunday

They have worn White for there 1st 5 home games then Red for the last 3 home games. Interesting enough that they wore All White the 1st 2 games. Does not seem to be a reason, but my guess would be they would wear White and Redskins then would wear all Burgundy.

Re: All burgundy Uniforms Sunday

• If I'm Seattle, I'm not taking any chances. I'm not wearing the greenish blue jerseys-greenish blue pants combination against Washington, thereby allowing the Redskins to go with their white-on-white look. Washington is 6-0 since donning the all-white uni.

This quote from Don Banks in his Snap Judgements column this week at SI.

So here we go again....anyone know if the Skins will wear All White in the great Northwest on Saturday? Surely the Hawks aren't stupid enough to let them do it again for a 7th straight time!

Seattle normally wears their dark unis at home. I think if you change unis to affect the other team, you are showing weakness. We'll see if they feel the same way.

I agree. I'd definitely want to call them a big bunch of superstitious pussies if they went against their normal home colors because they feel like those colors make us unstoppable.

Seattle doesnt have to choose which uniforms to wear untill a few hours before gametime.

A few years ago Dallas "Forgot" their white uniforms on a road game in DC. we had to wear the red at home.

maybe our staff should forget the burgundy...

When did that happen? The only time I remember them wearing the darks at home against the Cowboys was during the Shottenheimer (SP) era.

Check out Summo's post a few pages back, he had some good insight on uniforms. The home team can't make a switch at the last minute. Think about it, the road team isn't going to bring both sets of uniforms.

This is incorrect. Marty Schottenheimer decided before the 2001 season that the Redskins would wear burgundy jerseys at home throughout the year. He thought they made the Skins look more "imposing."

No, you're not going crazy. Dallas did wear their white jerseys at Washington in the 2001 season, but it wasn't because they forgot to bring the correct uniforms. Marty made the call to wear burgundy jerseys for all of the Redskins home games that year.

Now, I did read that Denver "forgot" to bring their dark jerseys to San Diego for an away game early last season and were fined for it. The Chargers had to wear their dark blue jerseys at home in the sweltering southern California heat. I don't know who won that game though.
