They need junk their offense and get a QB who can throw the ball. They can't win a SB running the ball on 3rd and 8. |

They won't ever win anything of significance with him, UNLESS he becomes a better passer. I'm seeing a trend with Jackson and it ain't exactly good. |
Re: Around the NFL week 8
Bengals put it on the Titans. Good for them. Their fans are due to be excited about something.

Re: Around the NFL week 8
Lamar Jackson still has holes in his passing game
|
Re: Around the NFL week 8
jackson just isn't good at throwing. the ball comes out of his hand funny cause he is always throwing ducks. his ball doesn't have tight rotation. his two picks cost the ravens the game, and me $200 :-(
i just don't see baltimore going long term with him. |

IMO, he isn't a long term QB for the Ravens, and he'll probably continue to cost them when the competition is tough. @Chico: Jackson still has a ways to go in the passing game. He actually is a hindrance to the Ravens' offense against formidable opponents. |

Awwww, man! This is akin to a razor blade on the gonads. If we can chew gum and walk straight then we can win this shitty division. |
Re: Around the NFL week 8
Do we blame covid , no pre season .. no big crowds .. etc what is going on with all the bad teams ?? This is worse than ever ..
|
Re: Around the NFL week 8
I definitely think COVID, no preseason, not much off season, has impacted the teams with new coaching staffs, or a lot of personnel turnover.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 8
San Fran is a mess...that defense drove the Sb run last year. With it back to average, the team isn’t impressive

Unless you are a fan of one of the teams in the NFC East then there is no reason to watch. Didn't even turn that garbage game on. |

He's an idiot. Hurt his team bigtime there. Score tied 13-13 in the 4th quarter. Bears would have had 3rd and 5. Because of this clown they faced 3rd and 20. Didn't make it, punted, and Saints drove for the game-winning field goal. If I were the Bears, he'd be cut today. Eddit: Correction: Saints did drive down and kick a field goal to go ahead after the incident, but the Bears were able to kick a game-tying field goal in the last seconds. Bears lost in overtime. Point stands that Wims may well have cost his team their best shot at winning the game. Dumb move. |

Russel Wilson's kinda fake slide that drew a controversial penalty on 9ers Jimmie Ward. I think we talked about this last week, some QBs (Mahomes, Jackson) seem to use defenders hesitation to touching them to their advantage like faking or delaying going out of bounds to get a few more yards since the defenders hold up not wanting to draw a flag on a sideline hit. or sliding late or waiting until the last second getting as much yards as possible before late sliding right in front of a defender. Im glad this is being talked about. I think we drew a 15 yard penalty when one of our guys hit Daniel Jones when he was kinda diving forward vs sliding. refs gave him protection for some reason. I think QBs should have to slide early if they want protection. I dont think you should be able to slide if a defender is within a 2 yard circumference of you. Also noticed it seems like they are spotting the ball where the QB slides ends vs before they would spot it right where the Qb first starts his slide. |

If a ref spotted it at the end of the slide, it was a bad spot. |

I don't think so, a QB running with the ball, especially past the LoS, is a runner and has no particular protection. If he slides feet first though, you're right, he gives himself up, forward progress is stopped at the beginning of the slide, and he becomes a defenseless player so contact to the head and neck area is prohibited... but technically a defender doesn't need to touch him, the play is over when he begins sliding. Now, I agree it should be made clear that: -you can't fake slide, if you begin to slide, the play is over -you don't get specific protection if you're making a move and then slide at the last second. Like either make it 2 yards from a defender or "defender has to have a reasonable react time". |

It wasn't a proper slide as he was too close to the defenders to give them much option, and the hit was hardly all that; can't be she but it looked to me like he was letting up at the last second but to close to avoid it. A slide should be a clear effort by the QB to give up on forward progress, not a last second decision. |

JETS
FALCONS (If they let Ryan go) JAGS GIANTS WFT All 5 teams will be looking for a new QB come 2021. You could also throw in a few more but these are basically locks. |
Re: Around the NFL week 8
Gettleman would have to be fired in ordered to move on from Jones
|
Re: Around the NFL week 8
I think Jones has shown enough to keep moving forward with him.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 8
I don't see Giants moving on from Jones yet either. IMO he has a longer leash. Bad offensive line and not really to much offensive weapons.
|
Re: Around the NFL week 8
Tasty hearing Bill Belicheat make excuses for the teams play...blaming the cap versus on field performance. He sounds a lil Bruce-like
