Telling the press this is a top 5 defense...and naming the Defensive staff the over-the-hill gang (self-naming nick names). Sheehan rightfully points out, every Skins fan is tired of players, coaches talking out their ass and not backing it up on the field. Rob Ryan...who is new...comes out and immediately says bullshit like this. Sheehan saying Rob Ryan and I quote "should shut the f*ck up" and says John Allen takes the right approach saying, we done nothing and we got a lot to prove. Sheehan says Snyder should tell the Defensive coaches they are all fired if they aren't a top 5 defenses...cause we have serious invested draft capital and money (Collins) to be that. But its the flagrant talking out the ass...its annoying. |

Tackles that make more $$ per year then Trent :
Nate Solder, Jake Matthews, Donovan Smith, Russell Okung |

That is a tough Question, who is more valuable? BS is younger but Geron Christian was a disaster last yr |
Re: Redskins O.T.A.
It’s safe to say, for another practice without their main pieces along the offensive line, the #Redskins offense can’t handle their defensive front. At all!

"Trent wants a new deal or a trade"
Give the guy a raise, he certainly earned it. He not only played hard through injuries, he is a role model for Oline guys. Also, there are few tackles who make more money than Trent and yet they are not even close to Trent's level (see Skinsfan's post above). |
Re: Redskins O.T.A.
I wonder if the delay in getting Scherff a deal is because they were anticipating this. And now they are trying to figure out how to pay both.
Honestly, to me this equates to having another major injury, if TW holds out. And this is a bit ridiculous. Maybe Eric Schaffer can work his magic? Sorry if I'm not in the "pay him" camp, since I'm sure the team wasn't expecting to deal with this for another year. |

BUT, paying him is not the smart move. His injury situation is not going to improve with age. Think long term. Vegas has us at 6.5 wins this year. We aren't winning anything. It's all about 2020. Trading him for as much value as possible is there smart move here. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Trent is my favorite Redskin over the last 10 decade pretty much, I'd hate to see him leave. Some guys are just meant to play with 1 franchise and TW is that guy.
|
Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Skins are bent over a barrel on this one and Trent and his agent know it. I don't see what choice they have - Gruden's offense completely falls apart without Trent. He and Scherff make a lot of Gruden's plays possible.
They're going to have to pay up. |

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Maybe the Redskins can funnel money to Trent Williams the way the Patriots compensate Tom Brady by paying for his bullshit health company.
|
Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Redskins coach Jay Gruden called Trent Williams the best left tackle in the game and said when he comes in he’ll be ready to go. Williams wasn’t at the mandatory minicamp workout today.

Will he be the best? Because that's how he wants to be paid. He hasn't been. He has missed 13 games in the last 3 seasons. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillTr21.htm Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Redskins observations: The deep ball is back in 2019 The Montez Sweat bandwagon continues to swell. Quinton Dunbar on the electric rookie outside linebacker: "He reminds me of a young Julius Peppers" --It's possible nobody is having a worse minicamp than Ereck Flowers. After getting manhandled by Sweat last week, Flowers, playing at the left tackle position, was picked up and moved around like a piece of unwanted furniture throughout Tuesday's drills. Ryan Anderson will look like a Pro Bowler in the film room when the tape is reviewed. The Redskins, hopefully, are coming up with starting five combinations that don't involve counting on Flowers. The day ended with a 2-minute drill, and Keenum's group had the best play of the day - a 50-yard bomb from Keenum to second-year Alabama receiver Cam Sims, who hauled it in for a touchdown Im hearing Cam Sims name a ton lately |

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
I honestly don't care about Ereck Flowers, but I am not going to get my hopes up or down for any player during OTAs and mini camps.

Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Early prediction which I've said since he got here, Flowers won't make the team.

Would be pretty sweet to get that few million he got just to be sitting on his ass during the season, lol.

IMO Flowers became irrelevant when they drafted those two rookie Guards. I can see other tackles beating him out in training camp. |

I cant find the video but there is tape on twitter of him pulling to kick a corner out on a bubble. That is out of this world athleticism for a big guy. I love him as a Redskin, but if we can get a 1st for him then maybe that is the way to go. Just wish we had more depth at tackle so the team had more leverage. Team is going to need need flexibility in the near future.....young talent is starting to stack up |

IMO the skins knew SB was going to hold out that's why they've been bringing in so many tackles.

While true...let’s be honest, this was the fuckin guy they wanted in free agency. Keim mentioned early in fa that flowers was someone to keep your eye on. So flowers isnt a rookie but a veteran and his first impression is play comparable to unwanted furniture tossed around. FFS, Oline and Oline depth is a very serious need coming into this season. And this is the fuckin guy the skins get in free agency? It’s pure shit. Coulda spent that money somewhere else. |

#7 So refreshing The QB battle will be a good one, I think Keenum has a chip on his shoulder after Elway dumped him for Flacco |
Re: Redskins O.T.A.
Jay Gruden says #Redskins QB Alex Smith will have his external fixator (the device that holds the broken bones in place) on for another month or so. The long road back continues for Smith.
