Re: Dallas Week!
It goes against my nature to pick Dallas for anything. I think it'll be a close matchup, but I think we pull out the win. We lost on Monday because of penalties, the D getting tired and the run D not stopping anything. We still have a lot of work to do, but this is Dallas. I think we find a way and pull it out 21-20.

Re: Dallas Week!
As hungry as we are for a W, Dallas will be too -- they lose to us, and they start 0-2 in the division, not to mention they would fall to something like 1 win in their last 16 games (I think their last win was against us, sadly).
We need to roll these chumps. But they are going to play like a desperate team. Let's hope we see signs of better coaching from our staff. |
Re: Dallas Week!
i think kirk will calm it down and play much better than he did week 1. even if the defense does not show much improvement, kirk's improvement should be enough.
let's hose these chumps. [YT]R1zSG_xYmbU[/YT] |

I just moved to Columbia (20145 zip). I have Xfinity. I have a big party for lots of people invited for the skins-boys game. I just checked an on line tv guide and it shows them showing the ravens game at 1 and not the skins. WTF did I do ... I would have never bought this house.
WTTG Fox 5 should be Channel 196. The only service that doesn't carry DC channels in Howard County is Direct TV. |
Re: Dallas Week!
So I'll be out of town sunday and I cant stream the game from sunday ticket app due to being in the local market... anyone know another App or stream that i can watch from my phone?

Re: Dallas Week!
This might be the wrong thread for this, but if we lose to the cowboys, or say that Cousins turns out another real shitter of a game, like 3 INTs or something, is there any chance that we turn to Colt McCoy to try and get something going? Or is that a premature reaction? I don't think its premature because Cousins being the INT king again might show that last year really was a fluke, which is not what I or anyone want to admit....

Re: Dallas Week!
You don't give a guy the franchise tag and then bench him after 2 games.

Colt is a back up for a reason. He's been a free agent the last few years and did any teams really come after him? Think about that. I think the guy is a great backup QB, but he isn't going to ever be a starter in the NFL. KC had a shit game, but no one benches their starter for that. If anything ever happened to KC or his play was terrible, I'd rather see Sudfeld over Colt. |

Re: Dallas Week!
After watching last nights game i think forte would have been a nice addition to this season. Shame we let him slip by.

Seems like the NFL tries to de value guys once they turn 30. Especially rb's. Forte obviously has plenty left in the tank. He also could have provided some veteran leadership. |
Re: Dallas Week!
Let's see how Forte holds up, they're going to grind him into the ground at this pace.

I feel that's way premature... That was one game, where did all the offseason hope go? This team needs to build... you don't build by changing QB after one bad game... nor after two, for that matter. The only off season decision I'll be questioning was not giving a real shot to Bryan Stork, our O-line'd be pretty darn good if we had a center... |

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/football-insider/wp/2016/09/16/redskins-lt-trent-williams-held-out-of-practice-friday/
Trent sat out of practice today. With him seemingly playing injured all of last year and not starting off healthy this year .. I wonder whether he might do a Patrick Willis and just retire at 30 (he is currently 27). Officially listed as questionable since there is no probable category anymore. Will Compton was on radio today, said one of the reasons for the 5 false starts from multiple lineman last week may have been bc Cousins rhythm calling "hut" may have been off. Kinda hard to describe in written word vs hearing Compton saying it but he said the center usually starts snapping on "set" and not waiting for "hut" and Cousins seemed to start to say "seeeeeeeeeet" bc Cousins would be looking for pressure and that half second long draw out causes the O line guys to go a half second early bc they dont anticipate a drawn out "seeet". I do believe that the 5 false starts were, in part, do to such limited 1st team rep time in Pre season. ------------------ Skins 30 Boys 26 |

Doesn't mean would have. Could have been a Jones and Forte backfield combo. |

Spaight out - concussion symptoms. Very unhappy about that. I hope this guy can get healthy.

If we slow down the run game: Redskins 28 Cowboys 14
If we don't: Cowboys 27 Redskins 20 |
Re: Dallas Week!
We don't have a defense that will be able to stop the run or the pass. Cousins might have reverted to a turnover machine again. Too early to tell. This will be a close game for sure, a real nail biter. Only way we can when is if we can put up 24 points and control the time of possession. If we rely on the defense to preserve a win, we're done for

Re: Dallas Week!
Man my stomach is in knots. I know this is only week 2, but a lose here this season could spiral out of control. Moreover, i don't think I can handle all the Dak Prescott jock sniffing it the cowgirls win..

Re: Dallas Week!
I'm nervous about this game. I think we should win.
There defense is garbage, but then again so is ours. Special teams? I don't know. Offense? We have the better QB and passing game they have the better run game. Both play callers have a tendency to get away from the run. If Jay/McVay call and Kirksey executes a better gameplan then last week that is also better then the Linehan we should win. |
Re: Dallas Week!
Giants avg 4.7 yards per carry with rashad Jennings against Dallas.
I hope we aren't incompetent 2 weeks in a row with our offensive game plan |
Re: Dallas Week!
We should be expected to change up and disguise coverages to bamboozle a rookie QB and beat his team. Will Joe Barry do that? Who knows? If our defense doesn't force this rookie QB into having a a bad day, I'm going to be on Joe Barry's case like white on rice.
I would like to see S'ua Cravens spy Dak on third down passing situations to prevent him from escaping the rush and converting first downs by running. Even though we didn't play well last week, we played a better team so the loss was hardly a shocker. This week we should win. |
