Lol. Well it said "some" and I doubt even DS wants him back. That locker room hug after the game revealed the same twinkle in his eye Griff was getting in 2012.
I read an article yesterday morning that claims some internal redskins folks are still arguing on keeping RG3 for next season. I really hope that is not true. For once it appears we have no quarterback controversy. Cousins pulled this team from the ashes this season. To go back to RG3 is not just stupid, it is ludicrous and wrong...
Besides, they would have to sign him to a new deal, why would he go for that?

This new KC thread has become immediately as bizarre as the old one. Lol. I think Griff needs to be gone just so all the conspiracy theory stuff goes away too.

First article here names Dan Snyder as one of the people who are still reluctant to move on from Griffin:
Why Haven’t The Redskins Waived RG3 Yet? « CBS DC

There is another that cited "internal discussion" of if RG3 had any value next year to the team, but i just got home from work. I will look through my history, but I read it this morning.

That article just rehashes the same old BS.

Again, he's set to be a free agent. Why would he have any interest in coming back here as a backup vs going elsewhere to potentially start?

KC is definitely worth investing in the long term.

He's grown in our system & we need to keep him.

Once we get the running game going again (and we will), he'll be even better.

The future is bright!

Is it true we could release him and free up a roster spot? Any downside to that?

The GMs for Minn, GB and Seattle might sign him for a game?

I assume he has been in all the QB meetings this year, he is always with Kirk and the QB coach on the sidelines.

Idk, just a thought.

Re: Cousins has arrived

..I said it earlier this season that I thought Cousins could end up being one of the best QB's to ever wear Burgundy&Gold ..HE reminds me of Montana! He is breaking long held Redskin QB records without a running game.. Cousins will have some bad moments and I am sure he will not continue to play every game at this pace(if he does he will quickly become an ELITE Player)..all i ask is the TEAM continue to get better around him and we could be looking at a stretch of playoff runs for the future. None of this surprises me ..what does surprise me is when the top superstar out of college player plays up to the expected level..There is a lot of top 10 draft picks who don't last very long in this league..The Brady's,Rogers,Brees are the players not drafted high but are at the top of there game. Why not the same for Cousins? I say things are looking really good for the Skins and who knows what can happen in the playoffs.

What offense would be a good fit for him? He doesn't go through his check downs, read coverages well, nor does he get the ball out of his hands quickly.....

It's absurd for you to even mention this piece, let alone for the guy to actually write it.

There is no basis for fact in the entire thing, no quotes from inside sources, nothing. It's all bullshit speculation and completely preposterous.

Not passively. Aggressively. I'm telling him that this is garbage and he shouldn't be posting it.

Nobody should. Don't we all have an internal bullshit meter? If someone writes a story with no facts provided or sources quoted, then isn't it painfully obvious that it's nothing but click-bait??

I think you were right about calling not having an initial link, but once posted, it's the writer's fault, not someone here at the warpath, that the article is full of hearsay, rumors and idiocy.

And that article will obviously be discounted by most.

For one thing, QBR takes into account situation. Since the Vikings find themselves in winning situations fairly often because of AP and a strong defense, he's just asked not to screw it up. He keeps turnovers low.

He also does a good job drawing pass interference and taking advantage of free plays (like when Rodgers always goes downfield when he knows he got the other team to jump offsides). And he's not a total statue, he has run for a few big first downs.
Teddy Bridgewater being that high surprises me a bit.
I like to look at all the different QB stats and Teddy is much lower on Football Outsiders DVR/DVOA stats and the ole nfl passer rating but Kirk is still around 7th.

Re: Cousins has arrived

Interesting. I just feel like I never see him make any impressive throws and that wind-up if Leftwich 2.0. Oh well, just odd to see him rated that high. I guess when I look at either of those metrics, sometimes it's about the eyeball test for me. Can't say I've seen him (and some others in the top half) put the teams on their back and carry them like Cousins to Palmer have.

Re: Cousins has arrived

“What I needed was not to go throw the football more, I needed to be learning from a guy who really knows the game inside and out so that mentally I could own protections and own reads and concepts and progressions to where I can do it in my sleep,” he said. “That was going to be the difference for me from being what I was last year to being a much better quarterback. You have to get around somebody who really knows the game.”

quick interesting read. apparently last year when cousins was 3rd string he reached out and got outside-organization from a QB/WR training academy "throw it deep" and Jon gruden.

It's okay. I am not offended by Schneed's post to me. He is a good poster here, I respect his opinion, and there are actually some things that we have agreed on over the past couple of years. Unless i'm reading him wrong i'm pretty sure he was not attacking me personally, just saying that my provided article was BS. It's all good.
