Any team that wasn't to slap around the Giants is OK by me. (Sorry Giantone -- you've been a class act in here too. It isn't personal.) |

LOL , I fully understand but I look at it this way,any team that lets a team as bad as the Giants are get back into the game and almost win it well ,there aren't ready for the playoffs. |
Re: Redemption
That's true. If you make the playoffs.
Not a chance in hell ,I love the Giants but I all so know a little about football and they have no defense...........none. |
Re: Redemption
Hello again, my friends!
I come here to repent in dust and ashes. JoeRedskin laid out a beautiful plan for us to lose to you and use that as motivation into the playoffs. Admittedly, we blew it and you are rightly PO'd. But the Lord has given me a chance to redeem myself. A day without a night and a night without a day. I think we can not only make amends, but we can actually become one of your favorite teams, so hear me out. You're gonna like this: We've already beaten Philly. I know we didn't give you the "W", but if we also take care of Dallas and NY, we basically nullify the "L". But here's where it gets good: Today is absolutely the pivotal game for Dallas' season. With Romo's return, a win against an undefeated team before a national audience would make them feel destined to take the division. A loss will take them to the opposite extreme, basically ending their last dim shot at the playoffs. It gets better: After you take the division lead Sunday, the NYG are going to be thinking "Yeah, but we'll get it back in a week or three." But, right as they think they're gonna reclaim that spot, we knock them down, basically ending their last hope. So, you'll be singing "Thank God for the Panthers who single-handedly demoralized both Dallas and NYG, ending their seasons and paving the way for our trip to the playoffs!"
You gotta admit, our plan is coming together beautifully! Wow! I thought you guys were supposed to be a bad team on the road! I DON'T THINK SO! |
Re: Redemption
You let me down!
I promised to beat Dallas. Well, we did, then just to be nice to you, we gave Romo the rest of the year off. I promised to beat NY. Well, we did, and even gave OBJ another game off. I completely live up to my end of the deal, then show up at the NFCCG and where are you!?! All you were supposed to do was be here and give us the win. Now we're gonna have to do this all on our own. Thanks a lot! You do realize this means you will be expected to meet us in the NFCCG next year... and no excuses this time! |
Re: Redemption
Sorry bro. We shot our wad getting into the playoffs and winning the division.

Re: Redemption
grats to the panthers though, they look pretty serious.

I understand your feelings but as I have said from the start that inflate-gate BS was a way to knock Brady down and all it did was piss him off ,he's been a man on a mission since opening day .I wouldn't mind seeing Payton win one last one before he goes out so I'm in the AFC corner this super bowl. |
Re: Redemption
My respect for Peyton and Brady is tempered by my dislike for how they've impacted the rules at the QB which imo has resulted in the watering down of QB position/stats.
Brady vs Raiders brought us the tuck rule then the when he tore up his knee it ushered in a halo of QB protection, Peyton brought the hands off approach to WRs after Bellitrix pushed the envelope of the bump and run coverage to an insane measure and when the Peyton and the Colts cried about it the comp committee signed on. |

It was Brady vs Raiders that made the then unknown rule famous. It was the tuck rule that was cited as to why that wasnt a fumble in the first place. It wasnt just made up on the spot, it was already apart of the rule book prior to that game. |
