7-9 hours from Georgia? Wow - you must be Burt Renyolds!

Re: guidance on flag football
naw...from my parent's house in Germantown, MD to the Florida border is like 10 hours...
if angryssg is anywhere near one of the interstates, it's a straight shot and a quick on at that, since the speed limits in Georgia reach 75, SC and NC are around 65-70... |

First of all, I firmly believe in the 10 to 15 over the speed limit rule (keeping just ahead of the flow of traffic). I came back from Germany about 5 months ago, and am still adjusting to the whole speed limit thing. Secondly there is no traffic on 95 until you reach Stafford if any at all. |
Re: guidance on flag football
i experienced that first hand yesterday driving back from Florida...
the drive was great...until i got to Fredericksburg...seems like everyone forgot how to drive once we crossed an imaginary line. an accident at exit 166 left a 6 mile backup...thank god the HOV lanes were open, as i was able to shoot over and keep speed. however, the morons in front of me had to slow down to almost a stop to look over at the accident and all the bright flashing lights...f'ing rubberneckers!! |

Re: guidance on flag football
i can quite honestly say that i do not turn my head to look at something on the side of the road like an accident. if it's in my eyesight i'll see it, but won't slow to a stop to look at it. i just don't see there being a point in gawking at someone else's misery. besides, it's extremely dangerous to do so...that's why there is usually more than one accident with a mile of each other...someone not paying attention to the road ahead of them
what makes it worse is when you hear a traffic report about an accident up ahead, and everyone slows down...only to realize the traffic reporting is like the stock tickers, always about 20 minutes behind. /soapbox |
