Re: Around the NFL Week 13
Colts are insanely bad football team right now. Which leads me to two quick questions/points.
1) Would the Colts be better off trading the #1 pick to a team that does not have a first ballet half of famer already on their roster for a bunch of high draft picks?
If any team in the NFL realizes the importance of a franchise QB, it's the Colts. For over a decade they have been dominating the league with Manning, and the one year he's out, they go winless (at this point anyways). A neck injury is serious and there is no guarantee on Manning's health so Polian would be a absolute moron to not draft Luck. I know fans are making up all these scenarios so they can possibly dream of getting Luck to their franchise, but it isn't happening boys. Would you trade the #1 pick not knowing Manning's health and a chance at another franchise QB for another decade or more? It really is a no brainer for Polian. |
Don't know if anyone else has seen this - New England is favored by 20 over Indi. Wow. That's just epically bad.
It was not that long ago that NE vs Indy was a HUGE game every time they played. Guess that's why it got flexed outta that Sunday night slot and NO and Det will now play SNF. What puzzles me is the Colts are only averaging 17 points per game and they fired their Defensive Coordinator and changed QB's. Huh? |
The pats always run up the score, I will say if they were my team I'd want them too so I can't really trash em
This is very true and this is the reason why I was actually pulling for the Giants against New England in Super Bowl 42. That season I hated New England just as much as I've always hated Dallas. |

I'm rooting for the JETS too. I mean, it only helps us out on a player who hasn't even been determined yet, who'll most likely lead us to the promised land even though conventional wisdom says otherwise. |

It could easily happen. I believe you guys to be better than your record, if the Jets aren't focused & ready they could be in for a long day. |

They wouldn't listen if you offered the next 5 first round picks. Neither would you. Polian has been in this same situation before so what makes you think he's going to do anything different? |

Crazier things have happened NC but in all realness no they won't

I agree, if they think he's Manning 2.0, there's no way they'll budge, and why would they? |

No doubt. The Colts better than anyone know how important drafting a stud franchise QB is for the next 15 years of their team. And this season is a good example of what can happen if you don't have that franchise QB (although I don't know if I can ever remember more of a one-man team in all of sports- playoff caliber with Peyton, 0-fer the season without). I think Luck to the Colts is all but a done deal. |
Yeah no doubt, & he definitely needs some anger management counseling.
What if Luck, Griffin III, Landry Jones, and Matt Barkley all decide to stay in college for their senior campaigns? Then what? The Redskins then will have to draft the kid from Texas A&M or that kid Keenum from Houston. |

Landry Jones could stay, possibly RGIII, but all 4? Really unlikely. The Skins have plenty of draft picks in '12 and '13. If all four of those guys stay in school, then the great QB class of 2012 just becomes the great QB class of 2013. |

I don't think any of them will stay personally. Maybe Landry but other than that no.

Allen should be humping Polians leg to trade up for that first pick. He prolly should let Snyder do it, he's got waaaay more experience in that area when it comes to trading picks.

Crazier things have happened, It seems impossible but in today's NFL I don't see it being like that. Look at ATL last year, traded almost the whole draft for a WR |

wow, I wouldn't have guessed we've gone that long without a line that big. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 13
I'd figure some of the lines for the '07 Patriots would have been huge as many as points as they were putting up that year.

Ditto. Pats ran up the score marging by 30+ at least a handful of times in '07. I'm truly not a fan of that kind of domination. Hoping a team will come out swinging for the fences and beat the Pack this reg season. |

I was pretty surprised to hear it myself |
I'm rooting for GB to lose a game and for IND to win a game. It just doesn't look good on the league IMO to have 16-0 or 0-16 I still say colts beat jags week 17 and GB losses to NY this Sunday
