Maurice Hurt to replace Lichtensteiger.

Should be interesting...and scary.

At least Beck can run and doesn't fumble when someone breathes on him.

No way to sugar coat this: we just lost our best offensive lineman (without considering that its more difficult to replace tackles than guards, that is).

Will Montgomery 4 eva. I would leave him at center and play Maurice Hurt or Erik Cook at LG. This Cook at center stuff is just asking for trouble.

I think this loss is bigger than the qb change. Lets hope Mo Hurt can step up. And I agree, please leave Montgomery at center.

With the QB situation, there are no long-term winning plays to pick from. With last years LG situation, we picked Lichtensteiger over Dockery, and we made the right choice. Got a good player out of an otherwise lost season. Which is what rebuilding teams need to do more often.

If M. Hurt plays well enough to keep the starting G spot for the rest of the year , we have one more postion where we will have good depth . Hope that KL has a full recovery .

I presume TW will be out for a couple of weeks with the high ankle sprain so how will the OL be reshuffled?

Any solid info on how long Silverback will be out?

Re: Report Kory Lichtensteiger Has Torn ACL and MCL

Expected to miss two weeks. Which, due to such a short duration, means that the injury is fairly treatable and he could probably go this week if it was a playoff game.

So roughly: OUT for Carolina, Doubtful for Buffalo, then questionable for the SF game until he is back. Full recovery time typically about 4 weeks. Then full strength if no setbacks.
