Its depressing Pro Wrestling moves on without HBK.

I still watch from time to time, and HBK passing along the torch is really dating me since I remember watching him on ESPN back in the day when he was with NWA (Check out ESPN Classic late night, they replay NWA Wrestling). Just a shame that Hogan and Flair haven't figured out how to quit yet, since they are in TNA going at each other's throats.

Hasn't been the same since Vince bought WCW. In college we had 2 TVs in our common room for Monday Nights, so that we could watch WWF and WCW at the same time. When the Skins played Dallas on Monday Night (September 2000 I think), a 3rd TV was put in the room. We had probably 50 people in our common room that night...awesome.

I occasionally watch but it's usually because I'm doing something else when it comes on like studying or using my PS3. My bro's been a fan on and off his entire life. I haven't really been a fan since middle school. Still thing is I frequently have USA on as I enjoy a lot of the shows they have in their lineup and sometimes I don't realize it's Monday Night so while I might be expecting Law and Order SVU I see some well known celebrity on Raw.

In fact I'll admit the main reason I haven't changed the channel when I did catch it is because I'll occasionally be interested in who they have for the guest host (that or I'll see some guy I watched and Middle School and can't believe that he's either a big shot or still wrasslin). Guys like Ricky Haton, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Shaq and even Bret Hart (I don't know why I happened to catch all the nights they had a boxer on) have peaked my interest if only for a few minutes. Personally I think the guest host is a genius idea and in terms of business sense they would be smart to continue it. I also just looked at the list of guest host and saw that Big Ben had been a host.

I also got a chance to see Shawn Michaels farewell speech and it was nice. Very tasteful. Can't say I really wanted to cry though. The last time I teared up because of wrestling was on the Monday after Owen Hart died before a match from a freak accident.

Shoot I was like in Middle School when I watched that. It was before WCW, Georgia Championship Wrestling on TBS. Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Dusty Rhodes, etc. I loved when Piper would just come in and beat on a no namer in the middle of a match and the entire dressing room came out for a royal rumble like once a month. Classic stuff growing up, Now it is just highly juiced up roid heads with almost equally juiced up chics with silicone breasts.

Ha ha, the thing I remember about watching WCW Nitro I'd be asking myself "who the hell is that guy?" Back then WCW was known for having a LOT of matches while the WWF focused on storylines.

I don't know if they're juicing up anymore, at least to the extent they were before. Congress got after them to enforce drug testing. Though I'm pretty sure the warning was much worse for actual sports.
