Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
Cofield is solid, but I don't think we are going to really be screwed if he misses a few weeks. I didn't get how someone on NFL.com said that going to Niles Paul was a big downgrade. He performed pretty well yesterday.
Paul is nowhere near the route runner or matchup problem that Reed is. |
Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
I like Paul. Even so, he simply isn't the playmaker Reed is. Not even close.

Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
I'm starting to thing that Reed's body just isn't built to play professional football. I think it's always going to be something with him. Sucks cause the guy have such a high talent level but he just can't stay on the field.

Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
What exactly was Reed trying to do in the play he got hurt? There literally was nothing to gain on the play. How come Skins players don't know don't know how to pick their battles?

Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
Yeah, F guys for fighting for extra yards.

I have never seen a guy have as many big plays that result in a fumble as Paul. He can't be trusted as a TE. |

If there is something fighting for then go ahead....Alfred Morris fights for extra yards, RG3 has no business fighting for extra yards....I look at that Reed play and it was going nowhere. If fighting for extra yards means losing a guy for 4 weeks then you don't want players fighting for that. Swallow it and move on. |
Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
This is NOT fighting for extra yards....its a dumb play...9 out of 10 times you will get yourself hurt.

[yt]465e_X3PosM[/yt]
He was trying to avoid the tackle, sucks that he got hurt but it happens. |
Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
Well, they better teach him better techniques. He better learn to use stiff arms and spin moves if he wants to last long in this league.
|
Re: Reed, Cofield could miss time
We don't need guys playing to not get hurt except maybe a QB. everyone else on the team needs to ball and fight for every inch they can get.
Reed is the kind of guy that would get injured in a flag football game. |
Reed, Cofield could miss time
If the 2nd guy didn't come in to clean him up he would have avoided the first tackle and gained some more yards. The 2nd guy hit him when his leg was planted which caused the injury. Shit happens.

Shit is more likely to happen and it seems Reed is its happening target. |

Reed sadly seems to be made of glass. He could pull a hammy sneezing. I don't think changing technique will save him. |
