[QUOTE=los panda;917286]even that would be $22 profit w those 11 copies, worth it to me.
but they're going for around $20 w free shipping. it will cost just under $2 to ship w/o using media mail. i'll make at least $6 on each one that sells[/QUOTE On half.com they are in the teens that is a good pricing benchmark to use. Figure in your time and gas to best buy and post office. You are spinning your tires. Oh and your ebay and pay pal fees. Dude you are wasting your time. Plus they are ten bucks at best buy because demand is in the craper; simple economics |
I am going to watch the 5 you have on ebay under thelospanada we will see how you do. What is sale tax in CA that figures into your 9.99 best buy price as well.

I am not trying to pick on you but more to show what a joke eBay has become with all the fees they have and how shipping sucks etc....
eBay at one time was like a giant yard sale now it is so over run by fees and what nots it completely sucks |
Re: Madden 12 $9.99 at BestBuy.com *HURRY*
I don't even use Ebay anymore, if I'm selling something I either use Amazon or Craigslist.

To buy it is okay to sell it is a total waste of time. Piss me off used to be a great site but they got greedy and it is a waste. |
Re: Madden 12 $9.99 at BestBuy.com *HURRY*
I still sell things on eBay with success...just depends on what you have and if it's worth it.
I made a $40.00 profit on a DE safety razor last year. Many more razors had $15-20 profits for me. I've bought them from antique shops for $1 to $5, restored, polished and re-sold a few times. Sometimes I'll restore one, use it for a while and sell. They're very profitable when you shine them up. I sold a lot of my rotation/collection right before the baby was born for some extra coin and space. :D The fees are getting worse though. You get whacked by eBay and PayPal too. Before Christmas, I bought a lot of 10 monster truck diecast toys (Hot Wheels) from CL locally for $20, gave my son 4 of them and sold the other 6 which were rare, older ones and not only made my money back, but almost doubled it at $36, plus my son had 4 tough-to-find trucks to keep. Sold them in two lots of 3 trucks so I wouldn't have to deal with so many auctions, fees and shipments. Like I said, if you find something with value or is in demand for cheap, flipping it on the Bay is easy money. Flipped a Blackberry Storm that someone gave me to "recycle" or do what I want to with after upgrading their phone last year...sold for $80.00, all profit to me. |
Yes if people gave me stuff of value for free then I sold it on eBay that would be win. Not going to happen offend. Why I am saying eBay sucks is there use to be a time when what Panada is trying to do with madden could be profitable now with steep fees from ebay and paypal coupled with higher USPS rates it has become a waste of time. Yes you may make a few bucks but nothing really worth your time.
There was time where I could turn stuff on ebay and was probably bringing home 5 to 10 grand year off it; those days are long gone. |

Re: Madden 12 $9.99 at BestBuy.com *HURRY*
several posts of discouragement but no posts since i asked for input. it sounds like ebay has changed a lot, i'm just curious about how drastic those changes were. it seems as though the changes were extreme since you went from making $5k-$10k a year to regarding it as a waste of time.

Dude sorry I actually forgot to come back to this. |
Re: Madden 12 $9.99 at BestBuy.com *HURRY*
The Fees are part of it that hampered it but another driving force was that instead of it just being small fries like me and you now it is over run by eBay Store folks and Power users. A lot of companies out of china or overseas set up "stores" on eBay and they just over populate the inventory.
I understand that is free market and more power to them it just at least for me got me out of the game; the easy money became harder to get. Oh let me throw in fraudulent buyers as another cherry on top of my goodbye eBay Sundae. Make sure you get tracking numbers on everything you ship because if you don't and the buyer says they never got yo uare out the item and you will be refunding the buyer. |

Re: Madden 12 $9.99 at BestBuy.com *HURRY*
All right enough whining on my part; lets try to sell the 5 you have listed under thelospanda.
First off your end times are horrible. You have all five ending at the same time so you justed over supplied the market for everyone looking for that game on 5/18 @ 23 hours (EST). Plus not many folks on there at that time. You can choose your end times. I believe mid morning early afternoon is your best bet. Your other dagger is you only have 3 good ratings; not much you can do about that now but a lot of folks won't buy from you just off that. Here is what I would do. I try to stagger my end times of the 5 items and move them into more prime time slots. Second I drop the start price to zero and hope you get a bidding war. Third make the shipping free; rarely do folks charge for shipping on games anymore. You got a tough product to sell. Demand is way low on this game because a) everyone who really wanted has it already b) everyone knows the "new" model is just around the corner and c) Madden has to be the most overstocked game by EA; it cost them near nothing to produce the actual product (meaning the actually disk not the developing); so why not mass produce them. Video games are very fickle a lot of people/companies vying for the $$$ and they have a short shelf life. If I were you I do as I said above and even if you lose a buck or two at the very least you be building up your rating for when you have more profitable items to sell. |
