I gotta agree with you.

McCarthy and the Packers had some devastating injuries...or at least they should have been. The came into the Super Bowl running on fumes personnel-wise, but still playing better than anyone in the NFL. Sure, the postseason does not factor into this award, but GB completely turned their season around after losing key players. The made a great run to get to the playoffs.

Another candidate would be TB's coach, Rahheem Morris. NO ONE expected that team of nobodies to perform that well. Surprise team of the year.

The Patriots pulled another choke-season. Great when it doesn't count, fold when it does. That's not the first time Belichick's team has done that.

The Packers squeaked in only on the incompetence of the Giants. No way McCarthy deserved it over BB. They traded one of their top players (moss) and still came out 14-2 in that division.

The guy is a asshat, but he's a coach I'd love to have.

Those honors are based on regular season by the way, nothing to do with the post season.

Half of the Packers were on IR and they still made it to the playoffs. Also, the Packers and their backup QB put up a huge fight against Darth Hoody. I do think BB is fine as a COY, but I would put down the likes of McCarthy.

I think the Packers' GM deserves more credit for being shrewd at nabbing talent than McCarthy himself. McCarthy pissed away a win against us.
