He sure does but, he is the only one that looks as good as 98. When it comes to getting pressure in the pocket.
Fair enough, but let's say for argument's sake that London Fletcher has a family emergency on a Wednesday and misses practice that day when the game plan is being installed. Do you think that the same rule applies? I think not.
Actually yeah I kinda do. If Fletch left before he had time to get the game plan down, and didn't come back till, let's say Saturday afternoon, I'd think he'd have been inactive.

But to be honest it's different. London Fletcher is a 12 year vet who's one of the hardest workers on the team, not to mention a leader. If he put in the work and showed Shanny he deserved to play, there's no saying what might've happened.

Or maybe Shanny sticks to his guns and says if you don't practice you don't play, end of story.
Maybe in the press conference Shanahan will answer that question.
Frankly I am not happy with the use of personnel on Defense. Don't get it.
The Packages with Vonnie Holiday as our sole DL is not working. We give up to much on the ground on the all LB defensive line. There were several long runs right up the middle today. I thought we were passed that. I guess not.
Shanahan said he wasn't active because he missed too much time and missed the installation if the game plan

Yeah I don't think this was personal or had anything to do with the past. It may not have been the right move in the end but it is what it is. We will need the big fella against the BEars and at least he is well rested. :)

I dont know how much of an affect he may or maynot have had against the Colts and the D we played tonight. He may have helped get us more pressure on Manning or he may not have. We will never know.

Time to move on from this topic and get him ready to play the Bears.

Shanahan. I am glad you are here. But if you think that this team is talented enough to win the division or beat Peyton Manning without our most talented lineman, you are a ****ing joke.

When you lose a 3 point game to the AFC Champ and you decide to have your most talented D-lineman on the bench, your honeymoon is over. Pull your ****ing head out of your a$$ Shanahan. We have a ****ing chance this year. Smarten' the f#ck up.

Hey, how did that gameplan work out?

I agree with Pocket$ $traight. How much of the gameplan does he need to know to rush the QB? He's played against the Colts plenty of times before when he was with the Titans and if nothing else he could have been used only on 3rd downs if the gameplan was so damn important.

PER REDSKINS INSIDER

Shanahan explains Haynesworth decision
Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said Albert Haynesworth missed too much practice time and wasn't prepared enough to help the Redskins in Sunday night's loss to Indianapolis.

Haynesworth left the team on Oct. 7, following the death of his brother, Lance McCoy, in Nashville, Tenn. He rejoined his teammates last Thursday and participated in the team's walk-through practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. But he missed practice and meetings on Wednesday, which is when the team installed its game plan, and Shanahan decided to put him on the inactive list for the game against the Colts.

"I just thought six or seven days without working out and coming in after the game plan has already been implemented, it was just a combination of both of those things," Shanahan said after Sunday night's game.

Haynesworth has been active for three of the team's six games this season. He watched Sunday's loss from a suite at FedEx Field.

Without Haynesworth in the lineup Sunday, Washington's defense allowed Indianapolis to roll up 469 yards of offense. They'll enter next week's game at Chicago again ranked last in the NFL in total defense.

The Redskins had only five defensive linemen active against Indianapolis, but they used many packages that featured six defensive backs and didn't necessarily need many big bodies up-front
Hey, how did that gameplan work out?
You ever heard the old saying you live by the sword, you die by the sword? How that pertains to Mike Shanahan is that he either sticks to his guns for better or worse (in this case worse), or he risks losing the respect of his team. What kind of example would that set for guys if all he told them was, you have to practice in order to play, and then one guy doesn't practice but still gets to play? For right or wrong, he sticks to his guns.

Would you rather have Wade Phillips as head coach, so we could see our team lead the league in offensive/defensive yardage and lose the game because they aren't disciplined?
