These are the types of moves that make me thing real change has finally come. I feel like in years past we really wouldn't make a move like this... Larry Johnson is making it easier because he sucked... but its nice to see stuff like this happening if you're not performing.
On top of that I bet that our running backs will never run backwards, ever again. |

Ever again>..............

Re: Larry Johnson Cut
What a shame. After he ran so well against the Texans...

Re: Larry Johnson Cut
Not really a surprise at this point. Whoever we choose to use at the position, including Portis must get more carries. We're not running the ball very well right now but we have to stay with it. No back so far has gotten enough carries to get into any type of rhythm.

Re: Larry Johnson Cut
I rattled off every curse word imaginable and made up a few new ones, when his slow arse ran backwards!!!!!!!! Sorry Larry, i wish you good luck but good night Gracie!!!!!

Re: Larry Johnson Cut

The talent for Keiland Williams is there. More so then any other back on our roster, we just need him to put it all together. |
Re: Larry Johnson Cut
Johnson looked downright slow. I hope Torrain gets a shot for some carries, but Portis is clearly the man for now.

Re: Larry Johnson Cut
Why not Ryan Torain? As usual -- I'll trust the front office has seen these guys about 20 times more than I have, so I'll wait and see. Simpson - you're up, can't get any worse than Larry.
After seeing Armstrong look like Randy Moss out there, I guess they've deserve credit for talent evaluation. Gosh I wish they were here when we had 3 second round picks two years ago... |
Re: Larry Johnson Cut
Redskins sign Chad simpson.

I agree, I thought he looked strong in the preseason. He just needs to be patient for his opportunity and when he gets it, take advantage. |
Re: Larry Johnson Cut
Excellent news.
I never wanted this jerk on the team. |
Re: Larry Johnson Cut
thank goodness, he ran like hot garbage these first two games. i appreciate the effort and all, but he had to go. vaya con dios.
Nooooooo. We haz no running gamez n on one carriez he r gainz 10 yardz. Dat r 10 yard per Carrie Underwood!!!
WTF? lol. In any event Johnson was costing us yrds. We had close to 30 yrds rushing on Sun. (I guess 28yrds) and when he ran he created -10 yrds so our net was 18. lol. Can't be going backwards when the team is trying to move forward. |
Re: Larry Johnson Cut
You need your 2nd string rb to play teams and LJ doesn't. Plus he sucks at pass pro and isn't a threat out of the backfield. Maybe Houston or Green Bay picks him up but other then that I'd say he's done.
