Re: Wizards trade Antawn Jamison to Cavs
Wilbon had an interesting piece in today's WaPo. But there's no way in hell that LeBron comes to D.C. If he goes anywhere, it's the Big Apple.
My Celtics are looking old. I have pretty much convinced myself this is the King's year. I rather see him win it then Kobe again, I hate Kobe.
Kobe has rings, King James is in the hunt. Many project the finals will come down to Kobe vs. King, if that be the case, I'll be rooting for the King despite all his other.............. |
Re: Wizards trade Antawn Jamison to Cavs
good for antwan.
question - how does this Z buy out work? do the wiz have to now negotiate with the guy to come to a reasonable buyout of him owed 11+ mil? so teh wiz have to give substantial money to Z just for him to not be on the team. and Z will be able to re-sign with another team in 30 days? jeez, nba trading rules are F'ed up. so many trades now include crappy teams sending their good players to contending teams for nothing more than empty contracts. glad im not a big nba fan. |
Re: Wizards trade Antawn Jamison to Cavs
Dominic Maguire traded to Kings for a 2nd rounder

If Tapp was still the coach he'd be starting, what a turnaround!! |
I think Bosh and Joe Johnson are the most likely free agent targets for the Wizards.
I don't think they're done trading today though.
I think two of Bosh/Wade/Johnson will end up in Chicago next year. They've done a massive dump and half their team is now expiring contracts. |
Re: Wizards trade Antawn Jamison to Cavs
These new Wizards are doing a masterful job of bringing the energy lacking in the last group. They've won their last three games at the Verizon Center and had the Raptors on the ropes in Toronto.
Andray Blatche has taken over the scoring now in the absence of Jamison & Butler. Maybe his gripe about minutes and shots had some validity as his production demonstrates he may not have been getting enough of either. You have to be impressed with a group thrown together in the middle of the season that has been able to perform the way they have the last four games. |

Your observation about energy is so true. They are definitely playing with some fire. So was I the only one unable to access this site for the past 3 days? |

And there goes Josh Howard for the rest of the season: Wizards Insider - Josh Howard is done for the season [Updated]

I haven't been to a game since Cleveland played here. I'm going to take in a couple more before the season ends. Man I was miserable while the site was down. You don't realize how much you miss something until it's gone. |

I was about 5 rows up from the floor just opposite the Bulls bench. I've never sat that close at an NBA game before. It's a totally different experience. You can hear them talking to each other and the refs, and you really see how big and athletic these guys are. Derrick Rose is awesome. And I'm not gonna lie, Jevale McGee is a specimen. Oh, and Miss Maryland was there as well. I guess the Miss America contest is soon or something. She was sitting just down the aisle from me. Anyway, they interviewed her and put her up on the jumbotron. Smokin'. Good times. |

I swear that team is cursed. Unbelievable. At least they can get a good look at Al Thornton now. |

If there was ever such thing as a curse, the Wizards are the captain of it. Saunders has said Thornton will now start so he'll get more of an opportunity to showcase his talents. His role had been reduced in LA so now he'' get his minutes. |
Re: Wizards trade Antawn Jamison to Cavs
was a shame to see Howard go down
