I mean the packers

It's obvious that the coaching staff doesn't trust Brunell anymore. Don't you think the team sees that? During clutch parts of the game, we didn't even pretend like we would attempt a throw. They might as well direct snap to Portis and take out the middle man.

ramsey, there's not any option or choice at this point... brunell is done, over and out...
|
Gibbs's post game: "I think Mark played smart, we played turnover free ball (what?). I think what we had was some missed assignments. I think the two weeks will give Mark a chance to get healthy. He adds another dimension because he can roll out in the pocket"
At least I think that's what I heard. Anyone else hear this? |
lol, 24-0 is the vote. yet i bet hes still the starter
|
Yea that was it smootsmack. looks like were going to see gibbs again
|
i call bullsh*t, i mean god, how can he not see the same thing 400000000000 other people are seeing???
if he doesn't pull the trigger during the bye, gibbs and i are in for a bit of a falling out... fists might be thrown... |
lol, imagine gibbs in a fight. serioulsy id hit a girl before i hit him. hes just so small and cute.

Ramsey. But I don't think it will happen. Gibbs just won't do it unless Brunell physically can't play... well, okay, so Brunell physically can't play already, but Gibbs isn't going to pull the switch right after steadfastly reiterating his conviction that Brunell is not the problem. It's not because Gibbs thinks Ramsey can't play any better, but he simply thinks it would be wrong to replace Mark when he feels that Mark is not the source of the problems with the passing game.
I firmly believe, however, that Brunell is indeed the problem with the passing game, and he has done nothing to convince me otherwise all season. While Ramsey may not set the world on fire immediately, and he will likely make some mistakes, he simply has the ability to move this offense much more effectively than Brunell. The productivity and points that Ramsey would generate as quarterback outweigh any potential mistakes. This team was very close to being 1-5 today, and the primary reason would have been Brunell's inability to generate any kind of consistent passing game. The outstanding defensive effort saved Brunell's butt today. |
so Gibbs, who fault is it that the ball is never near a reciever? i guess the reciver was supposed to run a route out of bounds but didnt do it.

Actually, Coles did run his route out of bounds on one of those passes, and he still couldn't get to the ball! |
if anyone votes Tim Hasselback they don't really like the Redskins.
Anybody that votes for Ramsey wants the sack and interception stats to increase with great velocity. Take all polls you want Ramsey's not playing until Brunell is carried off of the field. Now you're definitely are not a Redskins fan if you wish this on Brunell. |
Ok, I have come to the defense of Mark Brunell many times, but I have to say that after today, I am rethinking my position. Although we won today, we all know that 13 points does not get the job done, and it almost didn't get the job done today either. Its not that I have that much faith in Ramsey, but my faith in Brunell is starting to fade.

Brunell can get the job done when the opponent has Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman starting at QB but when we play Favre next week we're going to need someone who can put up more than 95 yards passing. Ramsey could do that on two throws

I have defended Brunell too. What I noticed about Brunell's passes that seemed to be thrown out of bounds, 1) Coles was pushed out of bounds and tried to come back in to catch it,so that's a no winner. 2) Was the play when Coles was wide open and it looked like the ball was deflected. Brunell missed bad on that one if that wasn't a deflection. The O line is still struggling. Lastly, you will agree that the play calling is too conservative but understandably so. No Oline, no strong QB = the running game, but let's see some screens or slant passet across the middle. Wait a minute I don't know about that one. Let's keep Portis in the groove. |
