Re: Slowest sports day of the year?
Out here on the west coast you have to have nfl ticket or you will miss most of the skins games. We get to watch offensive power house 49ers @ raiders its worth the money to watch skins EVERY week.
Hell, I would miss nearly 6 a year if I didn't go to sports bars. Stupid Ravens games, they won't show the Skins and Ravens at the same time in Baltimore. I guess they're afraid that if Baltimoreans saw real football they'd convert... |

Oh yeah you live in B-more county and comcast won't show DC Fox. You need to move to Howard or Harford county I miss maybe one game a year. If the skins are playing a AFL team at 1pm on CBS and the Ravens are playing at the same time then I head to the bar. Last year it was week one with Miami but after that all the games I could see at home. This year I think I might be able to see them all at home. |

My other resource up here is a full blown Redskins bar in Federal Hill. I was never there for a game, but it's still nice to go to a bar that doesn't have a bunch of purple shit on the walls. |
I usually went to Damon's in Arundel Mills
Anne Arundell County seems to have a good number of Redskins fans. I work in Glen Burnie (it's a little slice of heaven on earth!) and I see Skins hats/bumper stickers/etc all the time around here.
But my time in Baltimore is almost up so I won't have to deal with being completely surrounded by ravens fans too much longer. I'm moving to Columbia next month and I think I'll be able to get DC broadcasts. |

That may have been the first time in the history of the world that has ever been said! GB is a hole man. |
Re: Slowest sports day of the year?
Damn ya'll my Sunday rituals are totally different lol. During this last season, I was primarily working between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and I always had to work Saturday nights because that's when the trucks came in, so when I'd get off work at 6 on Sunday morning I'd go home, immediately hit the hay, and set my alarm for 12:55 lol so I wouldn't miss the start of the game. I used to have this one very unnerving dream all the time, like I'd be sleeping during that time period and then I'd dream that I turned my alarm off and I had just missed more than half the game or the game was already over. Then I'd panic and wake up and discover I didn't miss anything lol. Another thing that sucked was unless I set my ff lineup by the time I went to work on Saturday night then I wouldn't have the correct lineup in and it would cost me precious points, which is why I bowed out of FF this year.

Re: Slowest sports day of the year?
I can't wait for the season. Sundays are so boring without football.
I wwould get ticket if I lived out there.
Must be so weird to watch the one o'colock at ten am. It must be nice.
I have the NFL ticket it's the only way to go living in CA. That’s funny I was thinking it must be weird to sit around until 1 pm to watch the first set of games. On Mondays you guy’s have to wait until 9 pm for the game to even start. I went to the Monday night game against Dallas a few years ago and the game didn't end until after midnight. |
