Re: Vinny states team is willing to TRADE DOWN in draft.
Trading down isn't always so hot, remember when we traded down before? Wasted 3 picks on RB's that had no shot at making any impact at all since we had Portis, Betts, and Rock. We need an impact player on the D line really bad. All we have now are a bunch of injury prone rejects from other teams.. Only the first three rounds mean anything with regards to guys that actually can make it in the league. We need impact players, not a bunch of 5,6,, and 7 round picks that will end up cut or on the practice squad!!!!!!
Well, Tom Brady, Terrell Davis, Shannon Sharpe, and Marques Coltson would probably disagree with you, as would many others. But I see your point. I can't remember the last time we had a late round pick blossom. |

no kidding, the hard part is finding the diamonds in the rough, but I personally like new talent coming on the team then overpriced has beens. They make excellent backups and special teamers.

Well even though he appears destined for nothing more than a spot on special teams and the 3rd or 4th running back, there was Rock Cartwright, and people seem to be enamored Kedric Golston. But consider this: Monte Coleman and Raliegh McKenzie were both 11th round draft picks. Joe Jacoby was an undrafted free agent. As Archie and Edith used to say ... Those were the days. |

Re: Vinny states team is willing to TRADE DOWN in draft.
So let me get this straight...
We are willing to - trade up, trade down, let go of Lloyd, keep LLoyd, release Arch, trade Arch for Picks (yeah right... like he is worth anything), swap picks for Bly, swap picks for Briggs, keep our pick, bring back the loveboat, trade Betts for Vilma, trade Portis for picks, trade Portis for another player, trade for Leftwich............................................. I hope this clears up the picture a little for everyone. |

In other breaking news, Vinnie asserted that the sun came up in the East this morning and that he does NOT know who let the dogs out...

Now if I remember correctly, the draft went from 12 rounds to 7 once the new era of free agency dawned with Reggie White's departure from the Eagles to the Packers. So all the players that would have been drafted from rounds 8-12 instead became what we know today as undrafted free agents. Were the roster numbers the same with 28 teams as they are now -- set at 53? The comparison was only made to show how we were able to find some real gems long after the hype of the first couple of rounds were over. |
Nice to hear such a common sense statement from the FO. :)
Washington Redskins
I think this is what happens... Just need to find a team that wants to trade up... How about, New England... They are HIGH on LaRon Landry DB??? |
