Re: Best Game Between Gibbs and Parcells
It is the Brunell to Moss in 05 because it was such a shocker and the looks on the fans, players, coaches, and owners faces was just priceless. They had the game won and we could not move the ball then 5 min and two TDs later game won. The blocked FG was also big because I thought the game was over and bam we struck again. Funny they kind of ended their season that way.

Re: Best Game Between Gibbs and Parcells
to me it was the monday nighter in big D that does it for me i mean once they put that stat up where parcells was 71-0 after leading after three quarters and then WAAAAAAM brunell to moss not once but twice.priceless.
not to mention that it was their ring of honor game to boot. now during the giants/skins days of gibbs/parcells. i would say not only that snowstorm game but it was also at rfk where the game went back and forth the skins took the lead and phil simms led them all the way into the redskins end of the field and we stopped joe morris from behind just short of the goal line to win the game we won 24-20 i think heck it,s been 20 plus years now but i do remember the game. and phil was one cocky QB then too with odessa turner and he had that tough TE mark bavaro as well as phil mcconkey. |
Re: Best Game Between Gibbs and Parcells
Well if were going by Redskins wins, Its last years 1st game and this years 2nd game. I give the slight nod, personally, to this years second game, but they were both oh so sweet.
Now one that will piss people off that was a great game, was the first meeting they had after Gibbs returned and Gardner had a career game but couldnt get out of bounds. I'm finally over that one lol, but looking back it was a great contest. |
Was Parcells the coach because I don't think he was
if parcells was'nt head coach,he was on the staff that year.ray perkins was the coach if parcells was'nt.i think the strike game that the skins played against the gmen in new york was a great game too.the skins beat them 45-14 or something like that.the two games last year, especially that 1st one when i got pissed and went to bed only to wake up the next dayto see the two long td passes that santanna caught when he ran by williams and glenn.!and i think the blowout was sweet too! |

If I'm not mistaken after Thiesman broke his leg, Schroeder hit Ricky Sanders for that deep pass. I was like who is Schroeder, who is Sanders. His number was 46 he hadn't changed his number to 83 yet. I cried for Thiesman.

no,freddyg was right,Schroeder came in and tossed a 44 yrd pass to monk but riggins fumbled the ball away 3 plays later. After recovering the onside kickto start the 2nd half,Schroeder went back to Monk for 50 yards to the giants 4,then riggins scored to make it 14-7,later the redskins had another onside kick they recovered, you never see that,2 onside kicks in one half, unless its at the end of a game |

Re: Best Game Between Gibbs and Parcells
Was that the game where Joe Washington reversed field on that run and Joe Theismann laid out that vicious block freeing JW up for a touchdown? Great game but I'm pretty sure that was from before Parcells was head coach of the Giants.
Bill Parcells took over the New York Giants in 1983. |

it was a didier td,but there was 8:52 left on the clock but the giants were never able to make it pass midfield after that.Against the nfc's best defense, schroeder went 13 for 20 for 221 yards |
