Re: What A Big Swing

Eli made those long throws when the DBs were on vacation, not when they were covering.
Brunell had trouble because his receivers weren't getting beyond the defense on the bombs. (e.g. Santana's pass interference call.) (And to those who say his arm is weak, please note that he OVERTHREW his receivers.)

If you want to base stats on just one game, then Peyton Manning isn't any good either. He didn't do much against the Jags, and put up NO points in the first half of the Titans game. So he's no good either (based on 1.5 games as opposed to your 1.) That's why I continue to consider this post to belong to the Amnesia Board. (Only remember the last game.)
Eli made several of those plays yesterday. Brunell made none. I was comparing the QBs in the games played yesterday. The Jags game, as we all know, is long in the past now.
peyton still got two tds vs the titans, which is 2 more than brunell. he got past the jags too. wins matter more than stats anyways.

as for arm strength, there's distance, and there's velocity. hanging balls up is what happens when you can't get enough speed on a throw. it didn't matter though. the skins tried only a couple deep throws and the coverage wasn't terrible on them.

Its funny last week against the Jags everyone was saying how good MB played. Now that he had a bad game (as the rest of the team) its because of back ups playing DE for the Jags. Its a good thing that alot of you guys are not caoches because we would have a new roster every year. I think this site needs a new system. If we win that week just pull up all the threads of a past win and switch the name of the team we played. If we loose just pull up threads of a week we lost and switch the teams name.

who's begging for a new lineup? the playcalling on both ends sucked and the FO decisions that are being questioned are the same ones that were questioned 3 months ago.

We haven't had one since Theisman. :)

We still win though. Somehow.
