I got stopped for 95 in a 55 when I was 19 - and got a warning. Still don't know how I managed that one, though the cop was hilarious. He walks up, leans on my door and says, "Son, can you give me one good reason why in the hell you're doing 95 miles per hour down this road at 2:00am?"

I just said, "I'm sorry sir, must not have been paying attention."

He goes back to his car, comes back with his book and makes me read the section on the penalty for 40+...$500 fine and 4 points on my license. He then says, "I don't know why, I guess I just feel like a nice guy tonight and you look like a decent kid, but I'm gonna give you a warning."

I don't know where he is today, but God bless cops like that :)
He probably had priors for speeding or some other moving violations. You don't get jail time for speeding until it has been the 3rd or f4th time usually.
if you go over 100 in Shenandoahthe judge and DA there wants to throw you in jail automatically and immediately, 1st offense.

F*ck the pigs. If it was one of their own they would have been allowed to drive off. At least a PG undercover didn't follow him and blow him away.

500.00 fine and drivers liscensce suspended for 6 months?wtf, thats rididculous,in todays well built cars, especially a mercedes,100 mph feels like 50 mph,I have to drive 45 miles one way to work everyday on the beltway in houston,80 mph is the norm for most cars, and half the time I'm doing 90,but I'm not zigzagging in and out of cars to do it,it's a safe 90

Re: Sean Springs spends a night in jail!

I got arrested for a DUI and reckless driving on Wednesday and I only spent like 2 hours in jail. Of course, the reckless was going 20 in a parking lot and I only blew a .09 in the field test and passed all my sobriety tests, so the cop felt stupid when he had to explain it to the magistrate. I currently have a 7 day suspended liscense for the offense. Traffic laws are so weird.
Yeah, my comment was sarcasm. I realize now I didn't portray that too well! Honestly, I'd appeal it Shaun, thats a lot for such a petty crime.
Daseal, you haven't decided how to spell Springs' first name. It's not "Sean" or "Shaun." It's supposed to be "Shawn." :laughing-
