Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
After watching this game, it sure looks like the Giants are beatable at home or away. They do not have a good defense and Manning is obviously not ready for the playoffs at this point. The panthers look really good though with Foster running the ball and the defense completely shutting down Barber. Carolina is the better team. If we are looking at a possible matchup between either of these two teams in the NFC championship game (just as a possibility, I'm not saying we are definitely going to beat Seattle or anything) wouldn't we rather play the Giants, even at their house, the way they are playing now?
yeah, but at 20-0, it doesn't look like we'll have to worry about it. Plus, the Panthers will have to go to Chicago and win there. Not an easy task but they could pull off the win. |

Now that the giants look like shit you don't but the thing is for this to happen Eli would have to do a miracle comeback. Now if Eli does have this comeback would you want to play him at NY? no so we would want to play carolina but not if Carolina is winning. We will never want to play the winning team. I guess the best case scenerio is to have carolina close this out and the league in their love fest of a manning-manning SB allow them to play in the NFC championship game against the skins.:confused-

Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
another pick...
vagiants are tracking about the same yardage we got in our win yesterday. lol |
Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
They had 9 home regular season games, a home playoff game, but we're going farther into the postseason then the Giants and I love it!

Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
ANOTHER INT!!
 :laughing- :goodjob: Eli. YOU SUCK. |
Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
I ain't worried. I think our offense just needed a bye. We'll be back on track. We did finish around the top of the league, and they'll be playing to prove something from now on.

Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
Let's not worry about all that. We know who our next opponent is. Let's just have fun watching the VAgiants suck. :towel:

When I said earlier that I wanted Carolina to win, I was thinking that they would not be able to stop the run and they themselves would not be able to run the ball. It seems as if they can definitely do both those things so it seems as if they would be a hard matchup. I'm just impressed that their defense could shutout the Giants. I think our offense could struggle agaisnt them, but then again our D would do a better job against their offense, so I don't know. |
Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
Big Blew It! Stick a fork in them, they're done! :towel:

Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
Congrats, VAgiants. They are the first team to get shut out at home in the playoffs since 1980. The last team to accomplish that task?? Tampon Bay - 9-0 against the LA Rams. Just a little trivia.

Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
Way to uphold the legacy of Wellington Mara! Mr Mara must be feeling sick to his stomach in heaven watching this overrated team stink it up.
While our offense was as inept yesterday as the Giants were today, we were fortunate not to have as many turnovers, and above all, WE HAVE A DEFENSE! If Tim Lewis leaves the Giants to be a headcoach somewhere else, you can look to "big blew it" being a non-factor for atleast a few more years. |
Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
Eli sucks! Eli sucks! Eli sucks!
...Carolina looks terrifying but I still hope we get them in the NFC title game. There would be sooooo many Skins fans there, it would almost be a neutral site game. |
Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
As a inhabitant of NYC, very little makes me happier than seeing "big spew" fall flat on their faces. We had to put up with a week of giant hype in all the papers. It is so awesome to see them SHUT OUT AT HOME!!!
This is just more icing on the cake--skins win, the guy at extremeskins calls out Pastabelly, and the gints look like the over-hyped prima donna losers that they are. I love it. |
Re: Enjoying the VaGiant struggles
wait.... Yeah eli just threw another INT.
