Team is going to kill me one of these days, they stepped it up second half, but still played like crap.

And how about Brian Orakpo? 7 weeks, 7 sacks. The man is getting it done. He'd have more if they didn't hold too.

DeAngelo Hall etches name in record book, next to 18 others

Posted by Mike Florio on October 24, 2010 4:15 PM ET
With four interceptions of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, and at least two celebration penalties for going to the ground that weren't called, Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall has tied the all-time single-game record.

Hall joins 18 guys on a list that started in 1943 with Sammy Baugh, also of the Redskins. Most recently (nine years ago), Deltha O'Neal picked off four while playing for Redskins coach Mike Shanahan in Denver.

The interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, helped send the Redskins to a 17-14 win over the Bears, which has dropped them to 4-3.

Chicago's loss -- their second in a row at home after a 4-1 start -- means that the winner of tonight's Vikings-Packers game (on NBC) will have a clear path to taking control of the NFC North.

Anyone else frustrated with the coaches sitting AH against the Texans and Colts?

Yay! We win!

props to Torain, DHall, Rocky (forced a fumble), and even to AH.

The defense really helped to win that game. This bud's for the defense. :food-smil

I'd be more frustrated if he were still being held out. But, yeah, dude's becoming beastly.

the positive though to AH being held out those two loses is that at least he's well rested and good to go for the next couple games.

Detroits going to be a lot tougher IMO than this game...

About time he starts to get it. He played well today, and so did the defense as a whole! Great job, and they save Donovan from his worst performance of the year with a great job on defense getting turnovers.

I hope this was #5s one bad INT game. It is nice to have a defense to take the ball away 7 times?

BUT who is their QB? Hill is out and so is Stafford correct?

Hill broke his forearm last week against the Giants.

Drew Stanton is the QB(if Stafford isn't starting) and he isn't that bad. I hope we don't pull a Zorny vs the Lions like last year. The play calling in this game sort of sucked, so did the execution. Thak God D Angelo Hall and AH came up big for us.

Re: Week 7: Redskins vs. Bears Gameday thread

It's Detroit we've played them close every year. And last year we sucked a big one against them and lost, with their Rookie QB. The fact that we've already been beaten by a rookie QB this year and still winning and losing games by 3 points or less shows that we still have flashes of the Redskins of last year. Plus Detroit has lost to Philly with Vick for a whole game by only 3, and the Giants by 8.

This game is by no means what so ever a 'give me'. I would not be surprised one bit if we lost to Detroit in the same annoying way we lost to St. Louis.

And Kudos today to Trent Williams for not allowing a Julius Peppers sack, however don't think Vanden Bosh will be an easy task next week, rookie.

Hey, you know what we will be hungry to get a win in Detroit. I am not counting this as W or a gimme and I am sure the team remembers what happened last year against the Lions.

Yeah I'll take 4-3 over 3-4. I dont care if it was ugly, but we are getting victories.

Re: Week 7: Redskins vs. Bears Gameday thread

An ugly win is better than an ugly loss and the Skins have the potential to be sitting on top of the division by tomorrow night. So I will take it. I haven't seen anything that tells me the Skins will go or make it deep into the playoff, other than the NFC seems to be completely incompetent at this point in the season, but I like feeling like the Skins have a shot at any game. This and others this season are games we would've lost the last couple of years.

My buddies and I are in here still laughing at how horsible the Bears are at QB and O-line. I wish we could play them every week. They made D. Hall and Big Al look like great players. Lol!

Al is a great player and Hall has been at times in his career. The Bears highlighted this by idiotically continuing to challenge them.

It makes perfect sense. Think about it. When would we need typewriter repairmen? In the past b/c we don't use typewriters anymore. So if you are a Haynesworth hater that means you are living in the past. Now that doesn't make much sense?
