I have a Jewish father, and a WASP mother. Never been to temple or church in my life. They collectively agree that religion is for the birds. That being said you didn’t have to specify why you couldn’t have meat on Fridays. Lol.

My grandmother ate pumpernickel cucumber cream cheese sandwiches, they were open face and small

In the south, pepper jelly and cream cheese on crackers is a thing, but never have I seen covering slices of white bread with cream cheese like Mayo. Cream on bagels for sure

My Mother used to get the Pepper Jelly at a local Farmers market that used to be held in a Kmart shopping center lot on Sundays.

Don't make them in the 1st place. And I like mayonnaise just fine. But there are way better sandwich options.

Mayo is fine on a BLT, just a thin layer though, if it's slathered on and dripping off the side I'm sending it back.
