I doubt if Hopkins makes it that far. He may be gone before our 3rd round pick comes up.

I can only go by the available board in the draft I was doing. Would definitely be great value there.

For our second pick (third round), don’t you think we need an OT more than a Guard? The team seems very interested in re-signing Flowers and Scherff. Plus they have Martin as a backup for OG -he’s done well as a backup.

I believe we need to us a high pick to draft an offensive tackle. To replace Moses now or to start to build a player to take over for Trent Williams, assuming we re-sign him for a couple years.
BL- My thoughts are that we need an OT draft pick more than a G. I like many of your other picks.

You picked Dotson for the Round 3 draft pick (#66), who is an Offensive Guard. My question is why you think a G should be picked before an Offensive Tackle (OT).

I am the one who picked him. This guy is a stud and was the best guy available imo when I made the pick. BPA > Need most times.

Now I understand your (#66) pick. I’m not disagreeing with you on your choice, I was just curious on why you made it. Chase Young is being chosen for the same reason (BPA). Have you seen many games with him?

No, didn't watch. Just research. And eye test. Looks like a stud, plays like a stud. 1st Team AP All American from a small conference. Not easy to do.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

[quote=Warthog;1243710]Peter King just said that someone in the Redskins organization told him at the Senior Bowl: “Three First Round Picks could change our team THIS season”. Let’s just say that Miami offered the Redskins their:
#5
#18
#26
picks to guarantee ability to get Tua at the #2 spot. What would you do? If you took the “Reverse of the RG3 pick”, who would you put in those draft spots?

Three first rounders gets you three starters in spots of absolute need. They may not just be starters but the may be very good or even excellent starters. You get excellent to outstanding starters on the cheap. What say you : an outstanding superstar for a decade or three excellent to outstanding starters that turn your team around this season.

I’m sure this statement to King was done ON PURPOSE, to float this idea in the NFL and see what the Redskins can actually get for a trade. If the King’s Ransom is high enough, they might do it.

Look everyone - If there becomes a serious rift between the Bengals and Burrow prior to the draft, dont be surprised if the Bengals take Chase Young = (Redskins Fans Hearts Ripped From Chest). That will leave us with Burrow sitting in our laps. Burrow and Haskins both only had one year under their belts playing full time at the college level, but Burrow definitely shinned more than others. So, that said, do the Redskins take Burrow and trade Haskins, or just sit back and watch the Redskins draft room phones light up like its Christmas. If the later happens, there is no way I'm taking only 2 first round picks for Burrow. It wold have to be a Kings Ransom - between 3 or 4 first round picks this year and next. 2 second round picks this year or next, and finally a 3rd or 4th pick this year or next. That's The Bottom Line Folks. Just My Thoughts.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

If Joe Burrow is there at #2, You get a kings ransom deal and trade that pick.. You could get every 1 the Dolphins have and maybe a 3rd. As much as I like Burrow, you can't quit on Haskins yet, as he showed great promise the last few games he played.

Re: Chase Young or Three First Round Picks?

Haskins is no Josh Rosen. If for some reason, the Bengals take Young (who is the best player), we trade that pick, and I pretend like I'm not upset and wanted more picks all along.

According to PFN Draft Analyst & Insider @TonyPauline, Ron Rivera and Dan Snyder appear to share a unanimous opinion on what to do with second pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

As much as I would hate losing out on Young, if Burrow is there at 2 and the Dolphins offer all three of their first rounders and a 3rd, you'd be a fool not to take it. You could end up with Isaiah Simmons, Justin Jefferson, and Grant Delpit just to throw 3 names out there, then with their 3rd you could get a TE Thad Moss/Brycen Hopkins or a RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire or something

Sure, it's unanimous today. All that can change when the phones start ringing.
