OK, that was 'Rak's new facemask for OTAs and minicamp but is having a new custom one designed for the season. He says it's a secret but "think Bane" from Batman. He'll probably break it out for TC.


Uh oh...I just bashed Canty for looking like Bane too. :doh:

This face-mask trend better not get out of hand. IMO, they're very ugly, and like scowan said, it's nice to see player's faces. I bet the NFL comes up with some restrictions soon.

If players say they are doing it for protection, I doubt the league is going to do anything about it.

“No hands to the face,” Bowen said. “That’s why I first had it. I used to get poked a lot. And it looked nice, of course. Now that I have the visor, no one can even see where I’m looking at.”

If it's protection they're wanting, they could just use a clear visor, instead of an atrocity like this:

Unless they changed the rule recently, those tinted visors cannot be used in the regular season unless they have a legitimate doctor's clearance for a vision condition.

LaDanian Tomlinson was allowed for that reason.

I think Portis tried and got fined for a tinted visor once. He tested every uniform rule. :D

We figured out that a solo cup with a little beer in it really enhances the effect.

I prefer the old one too. The new one is generic-looking.

The wordmark is not what needed to be changed, the logo was. I hate Flying Elvis. Pat Patriot needs to come back.

Also, red jerseys instead of the boring navy and silver would look much better.
