Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
people are saying tebow to the broncos.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Who are these people?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Bulaga's fall not all that surprising. Was my 5th OT. Bulaga, C. Brown, and perhaps Ducasse all going before the end of the night? Depends on Colts needs I think.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Iupati is gone to the 9ers
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Who are the other good OT prospects left - Bulaga, Brown ....
My memory is blank at the moment. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Mike Iuapati...the poor man's Big Mike Williams!! lol ha ha
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Hmm... Another Samoan to the 9ers. Still, I still won't root for 49ers.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
will pitt take Clausen or Dez Bryant?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
again like i said it wasn't just this year he had a banging year last year against 3 top 25 draft picks and two pro bowlers their rookie year. i like gerhart better
That's fine, man... I was just explaining why I like Matthews better (no need to really drag it out more than two replies ago lol). Also, going with college player opponents who are future high draft picks isn't a very accurate gauge of something. Most major division 1 schools have those, so everyone is going to face them... Fresno St. may be a mid-major, but it's not like Gerhart was taking on the future top picks by himself- again, he had o-linemen blocking for him at the first level. A few years back, Auburn was featuring upperclassmen who were future first round picks (Jason Campbell, Cadillac Williams, Carlos Rogers, Ronnie Brown and Karlos Dansby). Their season opener was against a team starting a first-time starter QB and two freshmen running backs. The latter team won at Auburn, 23-0. Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush and Lendale White weren't exactly veterans when they won that game. What's this mean? It doesn't really matter how things shake out in college until you get into the NFL. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I feel like these other teams are getting better right in front of my eyes, and we are stuck in neutral.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
really nice thing between the NFL and the MAW Foundation
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
That Pouncey pick has been a done deal for Pitt at that spot for weeks.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1

|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Clausen's career projection is getting stronger and stronger as the bad teams continue to pass on him. Just has to avoid a Quinn situation where a joke team trades up for him.
That is why I would avoid Clausen. Brady Quinn was overhyped compared to Clausen. I don't think the Golden Dome really has any luster anymore. Clausen had more talent around him than Northwestern's Kafka, and couldn't get them into a bowl game, while Kafka goes 8-4 playing in the Big Ten, being virtually the entire Wildcat offense. In the bowl game he did throw 5 picks, but almost singlehandedly put his team in position to win it in overtime. Clausen is a good QB for sure, but I don't think he is such a head and shoulders better QB than some of the second tier guys that will be drafted in the latter rounds. |

Quit being so reactionary bro. Either mention specifics on why you didn't like our pick or stop whining like a bitch. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
JLC said Tebow to the Broncos. hmmmmm
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1

|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1

|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
The 49ers are not a 'west coast team' anymore. They are now a smash mouth team, Singletary style.

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Trent Williams will never see left Tackle, which is fine. He'll be our starting Right Tackle for 12 years to come and be very very solid there.
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Anybody picked up the Radio City fans yelling "She said no" when the Steelers picked?
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1

Teams don't take RT's that high |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Bulaga might fall to the Packers
|
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
Imagine if Clausen got to sit behind Manning, not that I expect that to be the pick.
Quit being so reactionary bro.
Either mention specifics on why you didn't like our pick or stop whining like a bitch.
Already mentioned numerous specifics. We have no more picks until saturday, and some of these teams have 4 or more picks til then. I don't have to like our pick, and I don't have to pretend to like it. Time will tell, just hope it works out. A busted pick would be devastating. |
Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
if you had to bet $500 who would you bet is drafted first clausen, tebow, or mccoy
|

Re: The Official 2010 NFL Draft Thread: Round 1
I actually don't hate my mock draft nearly as much as I expected to.
