at what point in this game do you stop fucking punting. with me it would've been 10 points ago.
Seriously. I'd keep the punter on the bench the entire time and let the offense either pick itself up or get totally, 100% humiliated. |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
night gang...
im with you dude, amen
For the love of God don't do it! You'll have alcohol poisoning before the 4th quarter! |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Now this is just what Coach Zorn/ REDSKIN NATION wanted to see for a "dress rehearsal"......pitiful!
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Maybe Steve Smith will get tired, from all that running.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Reminds me of a Spurrier prepared team. Ok, this is just a bad joke and it's better to lay this egg tonight.

Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Are the starters playing Thursday? Looks as if they need a little more work.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
The Pats lost an opening day game like 40-0 a few years ago and they went on to win the Super Bowl the same year.
This is a very big test for the coaches. The game doesn't even count, but we could lose the team real quick. |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Wow, a FIRST DOWN! What are the f***ing odds of that happening.
|
Jesus!! our D linemen is being just man handled, straight up the ass, dude
McMullen looks good, for a bodycatcher.

Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
What im ashamed the most of is, is our O-line, i mean if my O line coach's daughter just died i would be out there playing my heart out for that man. But so far i feel even more srry Bugel now than before.

I agree. I would think they would play their best tonight. |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Maybe we just got out-game planned...
Invisible Man, Redskins touchdown!! |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Wow, Joe Theismann is making a good point, Davis has been at all the practices, given what happened to Thomas and Kelly, he was in shape and has not gotten hurt. The only thing he did was oversleep for a practice, for which he was given tons of crap.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Ohhhh Theisman. Go hide under a rock. That was the most flagrant intentional grounding I've ever seen, and Theisman says, "I disagree. How do they know it wasn't a blown route." There was no one on that half of the field.

That was a crappy call...I thought you didn't get called for intnetional grounding if your pass made it pass the line of scrimmage? |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
4th and 10.....and we'd better go for it. Does our kicker really need practice hitting kicks under 40 yards? I think our offense needs the practice more.
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Alright, no shut out. (Yeah I know, pathetic)
|
That was a crappy call...I thought you didn't get called for intnetional grounding if your pass made it pass the line of scrimmage?
Line of scrimmage doesn't matter, you've gotta be outside the tackle box or you can't throw it away to avoid a sack. |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Love Theismann arguing against the intentional grounding.
Mike Patrick: I agree, but when you turn and there is not a single human being in the area, you have to throw the flag. Theismann: You're wrong, the rule is wrong, the refs are wrong, and I'm right. |

If you see the replay, Collins was not under any pressure...not to excuse the crappy play, I just don't see how that was intentional grounding...if he had someone hanging on him I can see why, but that didn't happen. |

Q: How do they know it wasn't a blown route? A: Because it was a two man route with both guys on the other side of the field. Theismann = Redskin QB homer |

Theismann: You're wrong, the rule is wrong, the refs are wrong, and I'm right.
You pretty much have Joe T's life philosophy right there. Luckily, he's not egotistical. J-Dawg. |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Anyway, I'm glad the defense got a big wake up call before it counts for anything. If this isn't a come to Jesus I don't know what is. Now we just have to hope Jason Taylor's knee isn't too bad...

You can't throw the ball away in the pocket. Pressure has nothing to do with it. |
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
seriously whens colt coming in?
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
I just saw the rule...he was not out of the pocket, so technically it was intentional grounding...although the rule does mention that when the QB is facing loss of yards...which Collins wasn't. Oh well.
|

Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
damn if matt moore tears us up, im gona go hide in my closet never come out...
|
Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
Now Theismann says it will take us three years to get used to this offense.
Carolina 2nd string! Yay |

According to the NFL rules it does: "Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion." Re: Redskins vs. Panthers Gameday Thread
What a perfect Birthday gift. Thanks. I am glad I could't get the game and to think I was calling bars and findout if they were showing the game. Thank God they didn't have it down here or I would be seriously depressed to see us getting our asses handed to us.
