Re: NBA Season 2013-2014
So the Wizards have decided to replace Trevor Ariza with Paul Pierce, per ESPN's Marc Stein
The right price at the right length. He fits the aarp squad and is going to be great for leadership. Plus Otto is going to get plenty of burn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

A great read on why losing Ariza isn't as bad as it seems (and why PP will probably flourish in DC). |
Re: NBA Season 2013-2014
Wow. Really think this is a great move. Veteran leadership who knows how to ball. This was much better than paying ariza or deng.

Wizards have to plan for Durant, even if it's a pipe dream...

Next time Carmelo Anthony opens his mouth about "winning championships", you know good and well he's full of shit. If he wanted a championship, he certainly wouldn't have re-signed with the Knicks. They won't be going to the finals for a while, if ever in the near future. |

That's understandable, but don't claim that "money isn't a issue" and that you are all about winning. He did both. |
Re: NBA Season 2013-2014
Has Durant ever said anything about being open to going to the Wizards if he ever became a free agent? Idk that the feeling is mutual on his side. From everything I've ever heard it sounds like he likes where he's at.

Alot can change in 2 years. Its not a gamble imo letting Ariza walk, he's not the difference in whether we go to the east finals. I dont think it hurts the Wiz to ensure we have cap space just in case, you should do your due dillegence with a talent like Durant. Pierce vs Ariza deal gives us more flexibility and also gives us a chance to see if Otto can ball. |
Re: NBA Season 2013-2014
A backcourt of Wall and Beal with Durant at forward would be a championship-caliber Big 3, IMO.
Not that I would want that, of course. :D |

He hasn't said no. :) He loves DC, and came to wizards/bullets games growing up. Who wouldn't want to play for the team they grew up watching? And if the talent around him is better than OKC can offer (Wall, Beal, Gortat, Nene, Porter), I bet he'd seriously consider it. |
