Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months

Heard back from Dr. Andrews via text on RG III - as he did on Tuesday & now again Wednesday - he says the #Redskins will not let him talk. Not surprised by this.
Why should they let him talk? It's not his place. |
Why should they let him talk? It's not his place.
Because he wants to be superstar doctor that's y. Do ur job don't worry about the media geez. I swear this kids knee is more talked about than the president these days. |
Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months
I'm kind of surprised they're allowed to talk at all, pretty freely most of the time. Can you imagine if your medical information was plastered all over the news?

Re: RGIII undergoing total reconstructive surgery: out 6-8 months
He's not talking because if he tells the truth, heads will roll... Smart not to say a word at this point.
People stop with the Vick crap good lord that's annoying.
Annoying maybe. However, give me a name of another QB that averages the same # of rushes per game? Maybe Cam Newton... The fact is, there is a reason RBs have such a short life span in the NFL, because of the weekly beating their bodies take. It is only logical to assume that QBs who run more (notice I didn't say "running QBs") would likewise have a shorter NFL life span than QBs who don't. RGIII obviously has more talent than Vick (IMO), but it is possible that we won't get to enjoy it for long if they don't curtail the pace at which he rushes the ball. Which pisses me off, because I want them to use that part of his game - as much as or more than they did this year...His body may not hold up though. |
Notice how he doesn't say "The start of the 2013 season" he just says "the 2013 season"
2013 season implies entirety. Ready for the 2013 season means ready for the 2013 season imo, not ready for part of it. He even prefaces it by saying everybody is "hoping", etc. If he meant part of the season i dont think he would be so dramatic because I dont think anybody is questioning whether he will be back at SOME point during the 2013 season. Edit: im not saying its out of the question that he misses time, just that i dont believe he was mincing his words. Thats all. |
PUP him at the beginning of the year- reevaluate after 6 weeks. I'm leaning towards just having him take the year off at this point- Just because I don't trust Shanahan in handling his gradual return. He's not going to be conservative in a rehab strategy.
I'm all for drafting another QB, start Cousins, and we're still better off knowing we have our guy for 2014. Hell of a lot better than this Franchise has been the past 15 or so years. Obviously... we can only speculate at this point....which is annoying. Just hope this is handled properly and we can get our guy back on his feet, healthy, and fresh. I still think we can go 9-7 with Cousins at the helm. We have a great foundation of youth moving forward, and we're only going to get younger.
We arent drafting another qb. No way. Sexy will back up KC if need be. |

Or you sign Dennis Dixon or Troy Smith to Back up KC....Sounds crazy right? Well with these two (NO they arent RGIII I get that) you don't exactly have to lose the read option. |

If either one was a threat to throw the ball - maybe. I mean you are rite - they arent RG-3. They are one trick ponies that defenses will key on easily. So - no. Let KC run a more traditional offense if need be. |

Troy Smith passed for 356 yards in a game hardly a one trick pony just never got a good chance and when he did bad coaching makes for bad decisions... lol hey he does have a higher passer rating than Rex. I'm just being wishful haha |
