It's not like printed encyclopedias are always correct. ;)
But, they're not written in pencil so anyone can do change things around at the library as they wish. Are you flirting with me? Stop that please. |

Every change is logged as well. Print is "permanent" and the error may go unnoticed for generations if the subject is even semi-obscure. Wikipedia may have some biases in some articles where the subject lends itself to biased admins ****ing things up, but it's better than a printed encyclopedia from the 70s. And there's a whole ton of spinoffs that may be better or worse depending on their specialty. |

Encyclopedias hire experts to write their articles based on trained, in-depth research. In contrast, on Wikipedia any jackass can write anything they wish. |

The real question is "Will what they write remain 'published'?". |
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
Per Adam S. Carson Palmer's house up for sale.

This story must have some legs to it. But I still can't imagine someone walking away from the kind of money he's set to make. |

Yeah hard to believe, but supposedly he's set up for life with what he's earned so far and is serious about retiring. We'll see if he's bluffing or not. |

Exactly. I heard Bob Edwards talking about Wikipedia on his show a few years ago and mentioned that most of what was written about him was inaccurate or flat out incorrect. Wiki might be current but if its not accurate it doesnt matter how current it is. |

"Jake Plummer"
And in baseball, Gil Meche - - walking away from $12M guaranteed this season... |
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
Plummer didn't walk away from the type of money that Palmer is threatening to.
|
Re: Carson Palmer demands trade, threatens to retire...
If he's not bluffing then he should retire. No one who loves the game would retire at such a young age with so much left to prove. If he could honestly walk away now then he no longer loves the game and that's not a guy you want to trade for and hand the keys to.
