I think this will be the last week of the prediction poll. I'm tired of hearing the homer/objective/hater debate each week. Anyone else agree?
I think it's unfortunate we have to end a long-term tradition because of the Busters of the world. I can't bring myself to pick against the Redskins personally (even though I can't outline all the reasons they could lose), but there's nothing to gain from saying "oh you're not a real fan because you picked the 3-0 Cowboys to win at home" I say reconsider keeping the poll going and tell Buster (and those of his ilk) not to bother responding in the thread if all they're going to do is say "you're a traitor and not a real fan" and if he can't do that, just ban him. Enough of this shit. Why should the rest of us have to suffer so he can have his fun. He's not more important than the value this thread can bring to the site each game week. |
Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys
I just started, and did get caught up in it. But I really like it, because it lets you know what the feel of the fans really is. if this poll had Cowboys at 60-70, then you know there are some issues, but its good to see how see how strong the consensus is.

Funny how I've been a member of this site for over 2 years, have put time into nearly 3,000 posts, yet I'm not a "real" fan. That type of ignorance bogs this great forum down. Your last sentence is really the crux of the whole thing. These prediction threads during the regular season not only offer a poll, but are amongst the most posted on threads in this place. They add a ton, and two or three people throwing around their "traitor" comments are better off elsewhere. Here's to the good of the site, not the dumb opinions of the few. |
Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys
At Dallas, arguably the best team in the NFL. I think we keep it a respectable game, but not sure if we can do it.

I'm afraid I misread the post. I thought you meant shut it down for now. I have to agree with SmootSmack on this. I was just tired of reading crap from cowgirl fans, my mistake. |

I will have this next to me during the game and will pray for a miracle... I hope he's with us tomorrow.

Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys
Remember that Romo usually doesn't see coverage as good as we have. Dallas knows they can beat us if they run the ball at us, but if they come out and try to throw early, I think it could work in our favor.
Thanks to halftime adjustments, no scheme is going to be strong enough to hold them off the whole game, but if we can just make they play from behind, we really do have a chance to win. If we ever get behind by more than a Touchdown, we will probably be out of it. |
Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys
I say Jason Campbell stays hot, portis has a good game and we win in a close and physical game 31-28

Re: Predictions: Redskins @ Cowboys
This game could go all the way to the wire and end in a 1-3 point spread.
Or it could be over by halftime with the home team up by 30. Neither scenario would surprise me actually. |
