I don't really know how much of a presence Musgrave has had in this offensive turnaround. All he is (officially) is an offensive assitant slash qb coach. What kind of things has he done, specifically, that Ernest Byner, Jack Burns, Don Breaux, & Rennie Simmons have not?

Well he is the only change to the staff from last year so I guess it is human nature to see that as something that changed the offense's fortunes. I would guess he may have had some to do with it but lets not get carried away and annoit this guy a head coaching candiate yet. He failed miserably in Jacksonville as OC so he needs a little more success before we go that far I would say.
One change that took place this year (I believe) is that Burns took over the majority of the play calling and as the season has progressed I'd say it ahs gotten better and better. Anyone know what the play calling structure was last year versus this year?

I remember reading that Burns and Breaux sit in the box up top and relay prospective playcalls, but Gibbs has final say. That article (from the WP early this season) also hinted that while Burns has been less involved in playcalling this year, he continues to provide input.

quarterback coach is his title description.
he must of helped with a few ideas but i truly think joe gibbs has that knack to put the right people in the right spots and lets them do what they do best.
I think Musgrave has had an influence on bringing some west coast flavor to the offense, but how much of an impact is debateable.

I believe Breaux is the offensive coordinator.

I still wish we would impliment the quick draw into the game plan, I believe this would really utilize Portis's running abilities, as well as help slow down the pass rush with the fake.

I wonder if Portis ran it at all in Denver?
I know he's said he's more comfortable running out of a single back set, so perhaps he's just not comfortable/familiar with the draw?

Unless you guys have inside knowledge this is all supposition. I haven't heard or read anything that would indicate Musgrave has had a big influence on anything. Well, you can see that last year without him our passing game was definitely worse than it is this year. This change can be attributed to a number of factors I guess, but I am sure Musgrave had to have some impact on how brunell has progressed.
