Traded with New Orleans: Chris Cooley, TE, Utah State
Kiper says he has a great hands and is a decent runner. Thinks it's a great pick, reminds him of Clint Didier

Wonder what we gave up. Doubt it was a gift from the Bengals for being good people.

as hoping for Sopoaga, the DT, here, but Cooley looks like a wise choice as well. But does any1 know what we gave up?

I think this could be an awesome move for us. This guy looks like he could be great under Gibbs...He doent have the attitude of Winslow, not as faste but a little bigger, mabye a better blocker. Im very excited right now, I thought they wernt going ot do anythign. I wonder if they wanted him all along.
What did we give up to get him?

I like it!
I was just getting back from Dairy Queen to find this little gem when I got home.
I also think he will be more of a team player, to hell with a ME player like Winslow.

was the trade with the Bengals or the Saints. You guys keep saying Bengals but it says Saints on espn.com? I still cant find what we gave them.

Here's the deal:
Redskins get: New Orleans' third-round pick (No. 81), which they used to select Utah State TE Chris Cooley, and the fifth-round pick (No. 151) they acquired from Minnesota.
Saints get: Washington's fifth-round pick (No. 139) and the Redskins' second-round pick in 2005.
I dunno, sounds like he was expensive. No 2nd again next year and now only a sixth this year.
They traded a 5th rounder (this year) and next years 2nd round pick
It sounds like Washington had him targeted for quite a while, and they didn't want to take any chances
