They were fussin' about Strahan getting held on every play and how Shockey was interfered with. I'd have to go back and watch the Shockey play again. Either way, they have no excuses for Shockey giving up on that play....you fight until you hear the bell!

I've watched the game a couple of times (God bless Tivo) and in my opinion the holding on Strahan was negligible. Fact of the matter is holding occurs on damn near every NFL play, it just only gets called when it's particularly bad or really impacts the play. The holding on Strahan, again in my albeit biased view, was no worse than the holding they did on our D line.

The PI call (or lack thereof) on Shockey could've gone both ways if you ask me. Marshall seemed to be bumping against Shockey's arm a bit, but it hardly prevented Shockey from trying to catch the ball. I think it's a case of a big, physical TE who's known for being a tough physical player being covered by an equally tough LB. I'm glad the officials don't call every little sneeze or wayward look when ya got two physical guys going for a play.

Either way, like you said there's no excuse for Shockey just stopping on the play - that's Pee Wee Football Lesson 1 right there.

how ridiculous of them to use bad officiating. really now, what game were they watching?

they'd better pray real hard that we don't get into the playoffs.

Yeah that PI was crap and the right call, Shockey is used to winning those battles and nobody playing him physical, he came out and drove right into Marshall who knocked his ass back, then pus looking for a interference call. Then the one that the announcers said was interference on the last drive with Springs, clearly was making a play on the ball some of these assholes forget the defender has just as much right to make a play on the ball as the Offense. So many penalties are missed during the game, penalties should never make you lose the game. I do and have questioned some of the calls that are made in situations toward the end of the game or momentum killer calls.

living in jersey I have had a lot of fun with it, I play a lot of cards and of coarse every game is loaded with Giant fans, and a fair share of cowboy fans, and of coarse I always wear my skins gear, it's pretty funny because they want to make fun of the skins, yet they also want to make fun of each other, on one hand they like us because of what we did to the other team, but on the other hand they hate us because of what we did to them. And yes all I hear from the Giant fans are the refs, so I have to remind them of previous calls that lost or tied games we should have won, it's been a lot of fun around here the last few weeks.

I also have a quick question, the hit by Clark on the sideline I forget who he hit, he led with his head but hit him in the shoulder, was the personel foul because he led with his head? Or was it because they thought it was helmit to helmit which it wasen't. I thought you could leed with your head so long as you didn't hit him in the head, or spear him on the ground, does anyone know the actual ruling on this?

I thought the call on Clark was iffy too. I don't recall if it was for helmet to helmet or if it was because the WR was "defenseless".

I thought the call on Clark was iffy too. I don't recall if it was for helmet to helmet or if it was because the WR was "defenseless".It looked like clark tried to hit with his pads but took a bad angle and hit with his helmet. The call was good. Now the non call on Shocky was correct they where still within five yards I watched that play several times.

Finally someone who knows the rules....If I have to hear one more time with less than 2 minutes left in a half an announcer say...."Is he going to throw the red flag".....I am going to freaking scream.....well louder than I did last time.....

When people talk about penalties it just blows me away how most don't even know what they are yet still gripe about them......The one that the refs did give us was the TD pass that got called back I watched it 4-5 times and still have not seen the hold....Oh well so sad too bad after thinking about that 36-0 beat down they gave the skins last time I just kinda smiled......

You can't lead with the crown of your helmet on a defensless player.
