hooskins 12-25-2005, 02:23 PM The scenarios are great, only in the NFL. However, if any skins fan thinks next week will be easy, you are crazy. Philly may be 6-9, but they have been in just about every game. They are a lot better than their record says.
Gibbs is no fool, it is good he is giving his players a break but come Tuesday they will be grinding it out at practice.
VishsSkins 12-25-2005, 02:30 PM I was actually more worried about the philly game than the giants game. I never like going up there to play and was very upset that dallas pulled out that win making next week another must win (STL cant beat anyone). Gibbs will no way play down the importance of the last game and I know we will come out with as much intensity as we have had these past two games. We are so close!!!!!!!!!!!!:insane:
saden1 12-25-2005, 02:32 PM Philly is scary...they have nothing to win or lose. A team like that is very dangerous!

Look for lots of trick plays and them going for it on 4th down more often. However, get a nice early lead and none of that matters.

see people say that and the thing is going into the last week like we are there are two types of teams, teams that have something to fight for and teams that don't, this game has one of each. i would rather play the one that doesn't have anything to fight for. A few weeks ago we could sleep on a team like the eagles but the thing is being the last week we KNOW we can't

Excellent point.
skinsfanthru&thru 12-25-2005, 05:47 PM Does anyone who understands the playoff positioning know where the skins would be seeded if they win, Chicago losses this afternoon and next week, Carolina losses next week, and Tampa Bay losses next week? I know that's a tall order but would that possibily set us up to get a first week bye in the playoffs?

Perhaps, but the most important ingredient is us winning this Sunday.
dmek25 12-25-2005, 10:33 PM who gives a crap about all this positioning?all i know is we win,we are in.if the giants lose,we are nfc east champs.boy, that has a nice ring to it
skins052bgr8 12-25-2005, 11:00 PM look out for philly, they put up some AWESOME numbers against Arizona!

Damn they almost had as many penalty yards as they did total yards, they really did almost meet that cliche 1 step forward 2 steps back. This game has scared me though for the main reason a NFC rival game with a team that has nothing to loose on the road. You can be sure the nastiest of philly fans are going to come out to try and spoil this game for us. If we play our game, it should not be an issue, match the intensity as the past two weeks. This is big for the skins and they want this bigtime, I don't see them or Gibbs taking this game lightly.
