Tony Dungy's son found deadRedskins_P 12-22-2005, 11:50 AM My prayers are with Tony and his family. Just terrible. BrudLee 12-22-2005, 12:00 PM Football doesn't matter right now for me. I feel absolutely horrible for the Dungy's, for having to live through this tragedy at all, much less this close to the holidays. Coach Dungy, you and your loved ones are in my prayers. gortiz 12-22-2005, 12:04 PM what a horrible thing to happen, and what a horrible time ... My freind just brought up a point, he said he hopes that Tony doesn 't feel any guilt or beat himself up about maybe not being there enough for his son because of his job. As you know these coaches spend SO much time working ...I hope that is not the case. must be tough man ... Bozzy 12-22-2005, 12:18 PM OMG this is horrible. Big C 12-22-2005, 12:18 PM man. i saw a thing on tv about him and his son not long ago. he was attending some college in tampa bay andn john lynch took care of him when he was still in tampa bay. this is shocking SmootSmack 12-22-2005, 12:24 PM What an absolute tragedy. My prayers are definitely with the Dungys. Now Tony Dungy has to do what's best for his family even if that means sitting out the rest of the season. If the Colts go on to lose their next two games and get bounced out in their first playoff game well then....so what? The Colts, or any team for that matter, are so irrelevant compared to this. Sad, very sad. SallyJenkins 12-22-2005, 12:29 PM I heard it was probably a suicide - that is sooo horrible! Definitely makes all our petty football issues seem insignificant... Even more tragic considering what was probably Dungy's best year ever is now without a doubt his worst. Horrible... Hog1 12-22-2005, 12:44 PM Losing a child, to me would be unrecoverable! Making it worse, apparently it was a suicide. On some level FOREVER, he and his family will (falsely) carry the burden "they should have done something to stop it". Truly a tragedy of the worst kind! He and his family go to the top of my prayer list backrow 12-22-2005, 12:49 PM Lord, I come before you right now in the mighty, precious name of Jesus! Lord, I pray for the Dungy family, that out of this situation, their faith in you would indeed be strengthend, souls saved from hell, lives changed, and hearts healed! Lord, I pray for the Indianapolis Colts, the NFL players, and the friends and associates of young Dungy. I pray that they would see you, even in the midst of this very tragedy. Most of all, Lord, I thank you for being there for us, as our comfort and our strength. Even in our very time of need. I thank you for your Blessed Holy Spirit, which does bring comfort. For you too Lord, do truly know what it is to lose a Son. I too was lost, but now I am found! Thank you Lord! For it is in Jesus mighty name, I pray. Amen! gortiz 12-22-2005, 01:05 PM I heard it was probably a suicide - that is sooo horrible! Definitely makes all our petty football issues seem insignificant... Even more tragic considering what was probably Dungy's best year ever is now without a doubt his worst. Horrible... that is what really scares me, there is no way that Tony is not going to blame himself if that is the case, I REALLY HOPE, it wasn't a suicide or drugs ... |
