I loved whoever played the Gary Glitter song and turned it down so we could be like "You Suck". I won't throw batteries at another team, but I'll gladly chant and scream at them.
Yea I just rewatched the game from DVR and burned it to dvd and you can hear all of us fans yellnig that, HEY....YOU SUCK!. Sure sounded great. About the cowboy song, It didnt bother me at all, I mean its all in the fun of a home game. It was also funny to see Tony Stewart getting his picture taken (and an autograph) with Dolla Billz.

...He pleaded guilty in Britain in 1999 to 54 charges of child pornography after kiddie porn was found on his PC.
Glitter ended up serving two months in prison and was placed on a child sex offender list. After his release, he went underground, turning up in Cuba and then Cambodia. He was expelled from the latter, though no charges were ever filed or any crime was alleged to have been committed, and eventually settled in Vietnam.
Wow..the guys sure likes kids...just sick.

I have a vague recollection of seeing a tape of Billy Kilmer and the Over The Hill Gang singing "Don't Let Your Babies ..." on the team bus in Dallas on the way to the game. (not sure of the players' names, but very sure I saw Redskins). This didn't seem any more harmful than Tom Landry's "surrounded by REdskins" commercial for a credit card company from the same time period.
On the other hand, I find "you suck" much more offensive. I take my 9 yr old to the games. He isn't allowed to use that phrase. I don't see why the team or the league encourages it.

man i laughed and sang my ass off. I am glad gibbs said to turn it off. It is gibbs's job to do that, and he should be classy as a coach, but me i will keep on singing. I loved it, it was such a good f'n feeling at the end with that and the NAH NAH NAAAAAAH NAAAAAAAAAAAH HEY HEY HEY GOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDBBBBBYYYYYYYEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I heard a clip of that and it was amazing. But how did we get our fans to sing that "na na naa"? Was it just one of those things, or was it started by the box too?

In defense of the Ade (not that he needs it), the rap on Mr. Jimoh has never been that he's classless - it's that he's talentless.
In the interviews I've read and heard with Ade, he presents himself as a God-fearing and (justifiably) humble man.

The "na na na na" part had started in Section 451 and 452 everytime a Cowboys fan got up to leave...starting in the 2nd quarter! The fans did that on their own in the end...no push from the PA.
The You Suck chants were hysterical, but the PA should not have turned the song down...the fans were plenty loud enough to hear it over the song.
As far as being offended to the You Suck chants, I certainly see your point of view. Just be sure when your son hear it that it is not appropriate for him to say it, and that when he's old enough to understand the consequences, then it'll be his decision. A Skins game is also a good learning environment for learning the effects of alcohol...
