FRPLG 12-20-2005, 02:50 PM eli manning is getting close to mike vick as being the most over rated player in the nfl.mark brunell is deserving but its close to him and drew bledsoe
I think by virtue of this last weekend Brunell gets a mjaority of the nods from the voters over Bledsoe.
Overall I think Hassleback is a lock, Delhomme probably is 2nd and the third spot is between Brunell and Eli. Who knows which way that goes. I think both have had some good moments and some not so good moments. Either way in normal eyar neither gets a nod. Guys like McNabb and Culpepper will alwasy go ahead. If Brad Johnson had a few more games under his belt he'd be a lock.

I think you're right. I might add, if the voting were after this Sunday's game, that might affect the outcome as well.
hooskins 12-20-2005, 03:04 PM Ok I know you guys will laugh at this question, but is the Pro Bowl selection 100% fan choice? Because if it is I do not think Brunell will get it. If its not and it is a combination of media and whatever else, I think he might. Nevertheless, I doubt he will be a starter, simply because Brunell has not been consistent throughout the year. There were some games where he looked really bad. But at the same time who else has not been inconsistent in the NFC. Pretty much all the QB's have had ups and downs. God I hope Vick doesn't get in, hes a great athlete but he is a terrible QB, and I do not think he will ever win a SuperBowl. I think I saw some sports writer who said that too, but I think its simply because he is NOT a good pocket passer, and all the good teams in the NFL mainly have pocket passer. Anyways that is a totally different debate, end of my rambling.

I believe it's 1/3 fans, 1/3 coaches and 1/3 players.

The voting for Pro-Bowl and the ALL-Pro selections are different. The latter, I believe, excludes fans.
mooby 12-20-2005, 03:36 PM voting for the Pro Bowl is like this: 33 percent by fans, 33 percent by media, and 33 percent by coaches and players.
FirstandTen 12-20-2005, 03:38 PM voting for the Pro Bowl is like this: 33 percent by fans, 33 percent by media, and 33 percent by coaches and players.
and the final 1% goes to Sally Jenkins
VishsSkins 12-20-2005, 03:59 PM I'd probably go with Hasselbeck, Brunell, and Delhomme. Brunell deserves to be in since he has the second best QB rating out of all starting NFC QBs and has one of the best TD-INT ratios. Really the only guarantee to get in is Hasselbeck and since this has not been a great year for quaterbacks in the NFC in general, I would not be surprised to see anyone else get in. Even Delhomme, who ranks third in QB rating, has 20 TDs and 15 ints. Not the best numbers.
BrudLee 12-20-2005, 04:07 PM and the final 1% goes to Sally Jenkins
We're screwed.
12thMan 12-20-2005, 04:13 PM I wanna know who's the warpath member, alias SallyJenkins??
