I saw Frost on his way to the parking lot. I'm sure MOST of us have bigger legs than he does. It explained a lot.

According to some, Groom was worse. http://www.thewarpath.net/showthread.php?t=9044 FRPLG 12-19-2005, 09:35 AM Groom was just a boomer. No reall skill when it cam to the all important directional kicking and depth control. He'd just be kicking it into the stands every time. Not much better really. There HAS to be someone though who is decent enough to be adequate. Frost isn't even adequate. I bet Sean Taylor would be adequate! dmek25 12-19-2005, 11:52 AM joey t knows how to punt hooskins 12-19-2005, 02:15 PM All i want for christmas is a healthy tom tupa punting. But that ain't gonna happen, so we do the next best thing, we kick Frost to the curb and we sign someone else. I know there has to be someone else. All I want for Christmas is the Redskins in the playoffs, I don't care if Coach Gibbs is punting himself. celts32 12-19-2005, 02:20 PM He's horrible...unfortunately it's to late in the year to do anything about it now. I don't understand how Andy Groom had such a short leashe earlier in the season yet this guy has been able to keep the job with one bad kick after another. cpayne5 12-19-2005, 02:21 PM Can Cooley punt? Funny you bring this up. At about 2:30 yesterday, the players started to trickle onto the field to do their individual warmups in sweats. Cooley came out and unlike other receivers doing their pass catching or sprints, Cooley punted and kicked the ball around. He wasn't half bad, but he had no form. When I first saw him out there, I turned to Daseal, not realizing it was Cooley yet, and said something like, 'man, i hope thats not frost'. Looking back at it, he may be better than Frost. skindogger47 12-19-2005, 02:22 PM Groom was just a boomer. No reall skill when it cam to the all important directional kicking and depth control. I bet Sean Taylor would be adequate! That is the argument everybody uses against Groom, that he's just a boomer. Frost isn't even that. He only kicks it long when we need a directional punt. It's like he has it backwards. And the only reason his average is as "high" as it is is because his punts roll forward after going 25-30 yards in the air. I hate him and I still hate Danny Smith for signing him. Anyone who says he's the best punter out there doesn't know anyone who's ever been a punter. SmootSmack 12-19-2005, 02:31 PM I'm just glad that as much as he's struggling Frost's teammates are supporting him throughout, like they've done for Royal, Harris, Holdman. Unlike Keyshawn, who was screaming at the kicker for "not doing his job" This is the same Key who had 2 catches for 20 yards. It is interesting that no one cares about his antics and everyone cared about TO's. Key isn't any better personality-wise but he isn't half the WR TO was. Shows why TO got the juice and 19 gets the...well nothing. Actually he gets to hear Parcells bitch and moan all week long. So there! |
