he was inbounds but they ruled forward progress. taylor had him wrapped up...

yea we know that, but it was a bad call bc he was still moving. Plus marcus prolly did not hear the whistle bc it was so damn loud, haha we all know the cowboys couldnt hear a damn thing.

Even my cousin, who is a Dallas fan, said the call was bad but like hurrykaine said why complain about the refereeing in a blow out win?

The hit took out the cowhores ace in the hole for almost a 1/2. By the time he got back in the game, it was 21-0 and he was still seeing cobwebs. I thought the flag was bad, but the ref was blowing the whistle and they blew the whistle because forward progress was stopped, not because he was out of bounds.

The hit was clean, and in the end took away the #1 thing the skins D would have had some trouble with yesterday....a very good TE.

What blows my mind is that the ref was no more than 2 to 3 yards away.and still blew the call, like he had his mind made up before hand.that ref should be de-striped. that's all i'll say because i am still getting jiggy about the win.the wicked witch is dead.

They make bad calls every game thats why we cannot leave the game in the hands of the ref's. I forgot all about the play because of the blow out.

i forgot all about it because of a great win but.....it was a lame call because like matty pointed out, witten was not out of bounds and his forward progress wasnt stopped

In the future I hope Marcus does the same thing. I'm sure Greg W. didn't have a problem with it.

that was a bs call, but it definitely set a tone. I DVD'rd the game and watched the hit on Glenn by Taylor about 10 times. He was trying to get up field near the sidelines and Taylor just crushed him and the ball flew out...awesome. There was also a play on 3rd down where Bledsoe led Glenn and Glenn did the alligator arms and flinched like a little girl waiting for a huge Taylor hit...Taylor let him off the hook, but just starting pointing at him, too funny...I don't think Glenn caught anymore passes after that. Taylor is the man.....I hope he pops Shockey and Plaxico a few times........

I think it is legitimate to discuss bad calls both after wins and losses for a couple reasons. First off it is pretty disengenuous to argue calls only after a loss as well as only bad calls against your team. I also think it is dangerous to ignore bad calls when you win because at this point it is apparent the refs are relatively incapable of generating our trust due to the numerous bads call we have all seen. This is an ongoing problem that needs fixing whether we're winning games or not. My biggest problem with the play we are discussing is that had #53 not whacked Wittten and witten had broken free for a big gain or TD I have a great amount of doubt that the refs would have spotted the ball where they initially "blew the whistle". How hard would it have been for them to take a TD away from them in that type of situation? The bad call here wasn't the "late hit". It was the bogus foward progress call that had just as much potential to be devastating for the Cowboys as it did us. It happened to work out somewhat in our favor but that hasn't been the case much with the guys(the refs) this year and I for one am tired of having to have these discussions. The NFL should be working to eliminate any appearance of bias from the refereeing side of the game and I don't know about you all but some of these calls we've seen the last two years look awfully suspicious at times. I certainly don't think there is any conspiracy to screw the Skins over but I do think some teams get the benefit of the doubt a lot(see the Patriots and the continued muggin of WRs) especially from individual crews. At the very least most of the crews have shown us that they are rather inept in enforcing the rule book. A combination of a lack of focus, a lack of understanding of in game situations and a ridiculously complicated rule book make these guys look really bad. Something should be done about all of this. I hope the skins submit the play for review even though we won.
