Draft Time Question.

That would assume that every team took the full 15 mins right? I would expect it a a litle early. I only say this so no one thinks it will be after 1 for certain and end up missing it.
Good point, hi-jinx. Everyone should watch this draft from the beginning (12:00pm), anyway. This has to be one of the most talked-about and exciting drafts in a while. I know I can't wait for it to get started! Heck, I'm even TiVOing it, and I'm going to be watching every minute of it, anyway!

plus if there r trades that take place, they almost always occur right before the team's 15 minutes r up so that would add another possible 15 minutes for the new team to drag it out and dramatize it.

I think it's a pretty safe bet the 'Skins' turn won't come up until 1:00 and their pick won't be until 1:14:50. This is big money for ESPN (and therefore big money for the NFL by nature of their contract), so every team in the first round, if not the first two or three, will take their full allotment of time. You gotta max out the camera time!

i was thinking that too with as big of a ratings monster the draft has become. of course if i were the vikings i'd turn in my pick within five minutes of being on the clock just in case the messenger trips and falls or something else happens before being able to give the pick to the commish.

It only went fast because when the Vikings missed their window (again!) three teams sprinted to the podium. How Mike Tice is allowed to run a war room I'll never know...

Five hours till the draft!!! Like Xmas morning when you where a kid!! Hurry up Dad and Mom wake up!!! I only wish we had more picks!!! My Dad passed on in Feb. and I just wish he would still be here to see Gibbs return to the field this fall. He tock me to see my first Redskins game against the Bengals when I was ten. He was always there for me and we would see many Skins games when they were on the road when we lived back east before moving to Nor Cal. He tock me to a 49er game and I remember Joe T retuning Punts. I tock may wife to her first NFL game a few years back to see the Raiders and Hicks had a great game. This fall it's my sons first game vs the 49ers. The only thing I hated about the new divisons was moving the Cards out because I would drive down and see the Skins game each year and hit sin city.
