In this article, Mark Maske talks about the Redskins possibly moving up to take Gallery, keeping Samuels and moving him to guard "to bring back the Hogs".

How awesome would THAT be? He mentions Gardner and Ramsey as possible trade bait to pull it off. I'm totally against trading Ramsey- but what do you think it would take, along with Gardner, to get their number #1 pick? Would our #5, Gardner (who should have at least 2nd or 3rd round value, since he was a 1st rounder) and our 5th rounder be enough for San Diego, who also need receivers? Is that too much? I would love to see us put together some sort of package to move up to #1 and also keep our #5, but I don't see that happening without us including Ramsey...
Perhaps Joe Crisp could weigh in with his trade calculator!

I don't like the idea of losing the #5 pick as well as the players.
Also, I am not sold on Samuels being a guard. Guards have to be bulldozers. Samuels is known more for his quickness and pass protection, not his run blocking. His run blocking is not his strength. He is not the killer run blocker you would want at left guard.
He certainly has the quickness to pull as a guard... I am just not sure he is the tough, out to pancake you type a good guard needs to be.
I think Gallery has shown he is. Maybe Gallery should be the guard and Samules the tackle.

I really dislike this. Our offensive line is completley fine, we dont need Samuels to F-Up changing his postion, and then have a rookie tackle to go with it. Take our #5 and pick Winslow or Taylor.

Thats not going to happen. The money Gallery will want on top of what Sameuls gets, 20%- 25% of our total cap money will be on the O-line. I cant see that as being a good idea. Then again it not being a good idea doesn't really mean the Skins front office wont do it.

I'll pretend to be SD...Here is what I would say to the skins.
For #1 overall Gardner and #5 spot is a weak offering. If you throw in a second rounder from next years draft then we have a deal.
I personally don't think we have the money to sign two high profiled picks. It would make cap matters worse couple of years down the road similar to the impact of Arrington and Samuels.

This idea of trading ramsey is just ridiculous, as well as moving samuel's to guard? the whole idea of this trade is nonesense, why do people keep trying to include ramsey in a trade? I wan't to know who they think will be our backup if we trade ramsey? Brunnell barley held up for a 1/4 of the season last year, now were going to trade away the one guy who is capable of leading this team to a SB, for a player we don't need, I just don't know where some of these idea's come from.
SD is looking for alot for the #1 pick, more than we can offer so let's not even worry about moving up to that slot.

The chargers HAVE to trade down or draft someone else other than Eli. If they draft Eli and he holds out it would not be good for the SD front office. can you imagine wasting the #1 pick of a NFL draft? With the past draft mistakes the Bolt's fans may start a riot.

I guess I should just cross my fingers and pray for Sean Taylor (or Vince Wolfork??), but just wanted to see what everyone's opinion was on this...I'm about to go crazy waiting for the draft! I wish it would happen already!

i don't think we have any ammo from which to trade up... i think it's a blessing too cuz snyder would probably do it if we could
